Is this Jeep Gladiator Build OUT OF CONTROL?
A lot has been happening with the Jeep Gladiator build in just the last few weeks. When I was invited to SEMA and the LA Auto Show, I knew there were some things that needed to get done quickly, so in this video I’m going to catch you up on all the updated modifications (lift kit, tires, led lights, winch, roof rack, bed rack, rooftop tent, fridge and more), give you my opinions about what’s been installed, talk to you about some changes I’ll be making and what future projects are coming.

Just wanted to let you know that your page is the reason that I'm beginning to budget for a Jeep as my next vehicle!
Sigor Ezz but you still watched the video lol
These jeeps get crazy. I love my Jeep CJ7!
@@wanderingaimlessly. Toyota's are more reliable, peroid. Jeeps are more capable, and going topless, doorless is awesome. I have both - but I have a 4Runner as a daily because it is reliable, basic, and will work - peroid. I wheel the crap out of my Jeep and I love it to death. The comment was contrary to what you think, but suggesting someone buys a Yoder and not a Jeep doesn't make him a troll - and since I work on Jeeps, I can tell ya that the electrical issues with the JKU are a real thing! Glad to hear that your Wranglers have been good to you - but the lemons are out there, and that's where the Wrangler reliability comments are coming from!
I have a 2016 Jeep Wrangler with 150,000 miles on it. I've been 50/50 Highway and Offroad. I've done at least one trail in every state. And feel confident I'll be able to do another 150,000 miles in my rig. I use synthetic oil, and do whatever maintenance is scheduled. I do half the mileage for maintenance due to the harsh driving I do. Feel confident in your purchase. You can see all the places I've been on instagram. Hope to see you on the trail!
@@wanderingaimlessly. no doubt - looks like we're of the same mind!
Brad just put a lift kit on your garage so that you can fit it in 😂😂
I wish!
Jesse James Hahahaha it’s the only way
Lowering the floor might be cheaper
I would wear the wrap out before taking off … looks good and protects your paint !!!
Yes
Thanks Brad I can't wait to be on your level!
I hope you'll start doing rig walk-arounds again. Love seeing all the stuff you've done.
Jeep is looking pretty sweet can't wait till spring when I get my own and maybe join one of you guys on a trip 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
The saying goes, "If you can do it, it ain't bragging." So if you can afford it and you like it, it ain't "out of control"...for you! Now you've experimented with a few things and found what works for you. Excited to see what you come up with next, since I'll be the winner of LIteBrie's Gladiator giveaway and building my own! (the power Positive Thinking?!)
It's been quite sometime I've come back to you, boy that gladiator looks amazing with the satin finish, I could see few things from the past like the KC lights and a whole bunch of new stuff, I am also for the covered stuff to protect stuff from open elements, great going and awaiting for the new stuff you gonna put. Good luck.
She’s come along way looking really good when your passion an your love for what you do keeps you excited for the next chapter it’s never to much 👍 as always be safe
Just got my first JEEP and we love it and easy for my wife to drive , the media center is great and the on board read out from the engine to the tire pressure, blue tooth , phone , all works great... And this was a great video...
This is the reason why I am getting into over landing. Love the gladiators! Will be getting one as my next vehicle and it will be my first Jeep
That Satin Red is gorgeous. Love the Overland build. Perfect setup for the Gladiator
Thanks Brad hope to hear you on the bands
I don’t know how this channel doesn’t have more subs. In my opinion, one of the best Jeep channels on the tube! Keep it up Brad! Appreciate the content as always. Working hard to get a JL and start the off-road adventures with the family! God Bless
I’m picking mine up on Monday !
Great video and thanks for putting it together for us to view. It’s got me wanting to get back out and go for a ride.
Keep the wrap! It looks amazing while not being too flashy
I love the Gladiator but my favorite is the JK. Can’t wait for the Cherokee Chief classic build. Love your channel and so happy I signed up for the Premium E3 Overland membership so much awesome content..... Keep it coming!!!
I love it!!! I've been doing a lot of research on what to get for my first overlander (I've owned 2 vans in the past that I did adventure/camper conversion builds on and had a lot of fun with those- but I wasn't able to go TOO far out into the backcountry and was mainly "stealth camping" with those). And I'm sure I'll still occasionally want to just park along the coast overnight to wake up and go surf sometimes, but the main purpose of my next "adventure rig" will be to explore more trails and venture out to backcountry campsites, so I'm thinking the rooftop tent option will be the way to go and will be a fun new experience for me! Also considering a camper shell option, so I look forward to seeing what you end up doing with that, as well as your rooftop tent reviews! Thanks for the inspiration, man!! Now I just need to decide whether to wait for the diesel or not....anyone know when those will be released/available to buy in California??
Super interested in hearing your thoughts on gears with the 37s before and after. Also second guessing my Leitner rack. Eyeballing a GoFast camper now...
Truck looks great! I finally got my Launch edition and really like it. So far I have added the same Warn winch that I have on the JK. I haven't decided just what direction I am going to take it as it is a business tool for Off-road recovery.
Thanks for the kind explanation
I love the wrap and graphics on the truck. Might be loud or over the top in person, but on camera... for your videos... don't change a thing!
COMPLETELY out of hand but...TOTALLY worth it!!! Looks fantastic.
The wrap looks great and I enjoy the mods keep it up and simple can’t wait for the next one
The wrap looks awesome!
Great looking jeep the whole build flows flawlessly
Excited to see if you go with camper bed shell and how you build on it. I think those are sweet
I wish I could do all the upgrades you do! Some mighty dollar upgrades you do for the Rubicon and now the Gladiator. Nice!
Just discovered TrailRecon this weekend, while cooped up in my apartment after a newly-issued statewide stay-at-home order here in Alabama. I bought a 2007 4WD Nissan Frontier Crew Cab last month, and have been boning up on trailrunning as part of my process for weathering the Coronavirus epidemic. I had a 4WD Nissan Hardbody back in the 1990s, and I'd missed it badly. Did a lot of light-to-moderate trailrunning with it in Arizona and central California, particularly Schnebley Hill Road outside Sedona (my favorite!) and the Senator Highway up in the Bradshaws, along with a lot of logging trails in the central Sierra Nevadas in that triangular area between Modesto, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe that involved the occasional hop over eroded channels in the trails, but never dared the Rubicon. (After watching your video on the Rubicon, I'm thinking, "Nope! Not with this truck!" O.O ) I also have an amusing story from when we first moved back to northern Alabama with my Hardbody still in my possession. My in-laws all scoffed at it: "You're not going to need four-wheel drive here! This is Alabama!" I just smiled pleasantly, knowing towns in the Deep South have NO CLUE how to deal with snow and ice, and said, "we'll see." Well, that first winter, we had four NASTY sleet storms in a row in one month. Six inches of ice pellets mixed with water about the consistency of a Slushy from DQ. And after the storms blew through and the cold air settled in behind it, the slop froze like concrete, with 6-inch-deep ruts in it like an old wagon trail. And it did it again every Saturday after that -- four weekends in a row just when the stuff was just starting to melt off. This poor city was shut down for a month! And I, with my single bench-seat 4WD Nissan, kept my wife's nursing home staffed with nursing assistants the whole month, by shuttling 5 CNAs at a time to and from work each day! My in-laws never uttered a peep about my truck after that. But, after a few years, as our family grew, I bit the bullet and traded it in for a minivan. I felt emasculated. But now the kids are all grown, the ex is long gone, and I have a "new" truck again! At this point, I'm seriously thinking about seeing if I can finagle a transfer within my company back to the Phoenix metro area soon, because I miss the West! But for now, I'm also scouring local National Forest maps of the Bankhead and Talladega National Forests here in Alabama and the Cherokee National Forest in Tennessee and northern Georgia looking for fun back-country routes. Any suggestions? I'm particularly intrigued by your videos on this Gladiator. It seems a close comparison to my Frontier, and I'm picking up many interesting ideas. I was also encouraged by your 40,000-mile review of those Goodrich tires in another clip, which is what my truck came equipped with. Nice to know these tires offer such good all-around capability, short of extreme rock-crawling or mud running. I don't plan to do a lot of trail running in muddy conditions. I hope to mostly refrain from muddy trails to to not contribute to avoidable trail erosion. So it sounds like these Goodriches are perfect for my needs. My main concerns would be sidewall punctures from sideslipping onto a sharp rock or a broken-off mesquite or creosote stump or some such. How vulnerable are these tires' sidewalls? Any thoughts on how my Frontier compares to a stock Gladiator? My initial impression is that Frontiers are more of a midsized truck than my old Hardbody, with a longer wheelbase and wider turning radius. I haven't measured the wheelbase dimensions or ground clearance yet, nor looked at the underside to see if it has any skid plates.
I was just talking to a buddy of mine about the gladiator and I was saying that I hope they come out with a shell for it, then I would be interested, the compressor in that dometic that I have I know would be much happier breathing clean air... great minds right ? JT is looking great Brad, you are a lucky dude ! maybe see ya at RFD_LA next week ! cheers man !
I agree the wrap job looks nice. Like the upgrades.. Keep on WHEELING...
Putting on a set of 37" (12.50") Patagonias tomorrow after 8 years of running the Goodyear Duratrac in 35". Hopefully it'll turn out to be a good move!
Wow, your post are always so well done! Now everyone has a talent for it. Super informative and always very easy to understand! Wishing you all the best. I’m a follower!
Seems like just yesterday that you were introducing the Gladiator. They grow up so fast!
I love the interior layout, been looking into a decent tablet to nail to the dash in my JK.
Did the Ham radio mobile unit ever get installed? Would like to see where you mounted the main unit and control head as well as antenna location (My older jeep had best SWR when the antenna was mounted on an A-pillar light bracket)
Brad, when you do the gear change make sure you do an acceleration comparison before and after too. Ie. 0-60. 👍
Keep the wrap Brad, looks great and when you are tired you can go back to the red that is beautiful. Your Gladiator is taking shape but with your experience,I think you will add what you really need. Thanks for another great video and for sharing.
Thank you!
Love the wrap!
I’m pretty sure I am going with the Smittybuilt winch as well. I’ve never even had a winch before so that cost point is good for me. I’m certain it’ll suit my needs.
I saw this Gladiator at the LA Autoshow. Took lot's of pictures of it and with it. You need a SYNERGY FRONT TRACK BAR & SECTOR SHAFT BRACE. I noticed Marco's Jeep has it. For safety's sake, everyone should have it. When you do finally install it, be sure to replace the 4 Steering Box Bolts with Grade 8 Bolts.
Love it. PS: I'm the guy that ran into you in home depot the other day. It was nice to see you in person. Keep it up.
Id like to get into this but my priorities are set on a Cummins 12v, but great video love seeing this stuff!
Looking forward to seeing your diesel as soon as it is available to you. 👍
Your Jeep is kick ass! Love it. One criticism though is if your taking votes I’m not a fan of the wrap, I liked it stock but still awesome. And also really love your channel. I found you a month ago and I can get enough. Keep up the good work.
Total practicality
Awesome to see this channel from start to now! My jeep is still the same, but I have learned a lot from these vids!
Thank you for being a long time follower!
That look is perfect on need to change a thing
bro this thing is sick man🔥🔥
Great video thank you!
This rig is looking super clean Brad. I like it as is...no need to lose the Wrap.
The wrap looks great you should keep it!!!
The Gladiator is looking nice. A shell with opening sides and back would be pretty functional. One from the down under comes to mind. Very nice build so far. Keep em coming.
“When are you doing a review on the Patagonia’s, not today” lol
Amazing Rig!
Great build and looks great!!!!
Nice build Brad, love it.
AWESOME video!!
Lookin good Brad. I like the wrap, I'd keep it.
That wrap was beautiful.
Your gladiator is looking💪🏻. Awesome videos. Great editing and personality.
Thank you!
Brad! Your filming never disappoints me, keep up the good work!!
Thank you!
Great setup 👍👍
Brad, I think the wrap looks great. Forget the diesel and get a redeye Hemi with some dynatrac axles. Another great video. Thanks
congrats!!! such an amazing Gladiator!!!
I agree! Giving me ideas for mine.....
Brad you made some Fantastic changes. And smart ones!! You could put Saran wrap over the cutting board?? Bur overall Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice Jeep setup style 👍🏼
Brad, flip those tires!! OWL facing out would look SOO GOOD!
Looks great👌🏻
Awesome Jeep Rubicon Set Up Ever Br.
Great video. If you get rid of the rack system and go with a shell I think you'll have a long JK-JL? Rig looks good!!!
Dope !
Nice video, keep them coming!
Saw your rig at LA Auto Show. Love the matte wrap! :)
Thank you!
Cómo siempre..las mejores reseñas de Jeep .un saludo!!! Excelente video !!! Saludos desde guanajuato.mexico!!!
Thanks for the good content, how do you deal with the rear view mirror and the blind spot that creates when you are a tall guy? Do you have any suggestions on that? Thanks in advance
G'day from Australia - great video champion
Your gladiator is amazing. Both of your jeeps are. Love your channel. Watch your videos over and over.
Thank you!
You’re welcome. Your footage is amazing! Really appreciate the work you are doing. Makes KZhead so much better
First time watching! Jeep looks awesome!
That is a really nice build. I'm becoming a fan of the Gladiator. ;)
It looks very nice. I like the wrap. I think you should keep it. It's unique.
Great Video.
Brad I agree, wait on the diesel and the bed caps to hit the market.
i call dibs on the bed rack when you change it it lol!!
You should really think about a sound system and install it yourself , it so much fun lol. I got a Chevy Avalanche and Romp the hell out of it , but you do got me wanting to invest into a Jeep .
I think it looks absolutely sick...
I’ve been a trail recon fan for a while now, I was wondering about the 37 spare under the bed. When you deflate the tire does it trigger the tire deflation sensor on the dash? Thanks
Absolutely awesome upgrades. The suspension sounds like a great product
I couldn't be happier with the way the JT rides on and of-road.
TrailRecon absolutely awesome. So glad you got to test/try this new concept out
Your Gladiator looks awesome with the wrap with the graphics and Trail Recon on the hood. You should keep it. Great rig!
Thank you!
I can’t wait to see a video with you pulling the cool trailer and wheeling with the articulating hitch.
Coming soon!
I have an 18' wide by 8' high garage door. Can get just about anything through that door. Thats an upgrade you need. 😉😉
A little fab work, you can cut the top bar that curves up, extend it out, flip the light bar, and weld it back on and should give the clearance needed. Light will hang just below where it's mounted now. Just an idea, but what you think?
Jeep needs to come out with a Rubicon Cherokee SUV similar to the Gladiator lines.
Wow a lot of upgrades.. Plan of changing the diff also like the Wrangler? Nice wheels, what did you do to your stock rims.🤔🤔🤔.
Hey if your worried about dirt in your bed and getting on your gear, check out the racks that nuthouse industries makes. Custom built out of aluminum and linex coated. Their tech 3 series rack has a sliding cover over the bed like what the gator traxs tonnue covers do. They are out of ohio and have you tube videos of their rack options. Good people!
Very nice review, Brad! I know you probably don't see a lot of it, but would love to hear if you get a chance to experience the Patagonia's in ice and snow on pavement. Keep it coming, brother!
I hope to get up to the mountains and wheel them in the snow...fingers crossed.
A PCOR tray and 3/4 canopy from Patriot Campers would look good on that Gladiator
A GFC would be awesome on your gladiator!!
Those wheels!
Keep the wrap
