I like how she didn’t follow the typical evil and even shared the fashion with her roommates/friends.
Girl sweet comment but its NOTHING like that in the books its like totally different lol😂
@@mothflower6562 what happens in the books?
@@Nemhyz I mean yes she shared the fashion w others but her roommates were not her friends at all and the film. Depiction is rlly inaccurate. Like I've not watched it but this scene is not what she does. Idk you'd have to read the books to understand. It's similar but not the same
@@mothflower6562 In the books she was definitely more arrogant and really was just using everyone (Although she did still show that she cared about people every now and then)
@@Nemhyz havent seen the film aside from this clip so i dont know how different it is, but sophie in the books is extremely stuck-up and self-centered haha. from the get go she's very judgemental of anyone she deems 'ugly' (i.e not as beautiful as her), especially the people at evil school, and she only started giving them fashion tips because agatha suggested sophie do good deeds to win tedros' heart. yea her idea of 'charity' and good deeds is just giving people beauty products lol
I didn't realize Sophie was this dramatic, I mean it makes sense cause she's a character who's a bit theatrical in the books🤣
I mean have you ever seen her sing dead mom?
Watch it without music
I would like to say that, I bow to costume designer and team that select the ost. Perfectly match and made this film super perfect. I love this movies
Sushsshh
I hope the costume designer is same as the one who did Cruella's costumes.

This clip is really good. It captures Sophie's character to a point.
yeah!!This is my favorite clip❤

@@reynamurphy9528 thank you ☺️
I was always a slytherin. And that my friend, will never change.

Sophie's actress is incredible and the outfits are gorgerous. The movie's great only the ending battle was too much other than that it's amazing
Too soon the 2nd movie
@@funtimeclassicfoxywolfy4549 yes
Sophies actress is Sofia Anne Caruso. She also played Lydia from beetlejuice the musical on broadway (as the original actress for broadway)
@@Willa1901 okay
You should see her as Lydia and hear her sing. She's amazing!
Let's be honest. Most of us wanted evil to win Edit: So it's been a year, and this really blew up, so thank you!

Facts
Yea I wanted evil to win😮
not evil, but whatever that has Sophie in >:D
yes
Am I the only one who thinks Sophie and Agatha looked better in their opposite schools? Agatha looked so graceful and charming in her dress, and Sophie rocked her dark outfit.
Agreed. That's why they weren't put in the "wrong schools" as they both claimed. Sophie is more of a witch than a princess and Agatha is more a princess than a witch.
The song..the walk…the entrance🤩🤩 I felt empowered by watching this scene!!
Bot
Me too!! It was amazing!
Hope ur a bot cause that walk was the cringiest scene in movie history
@@TheStepmonkey Hopefully your a bot because then you’d be a HATER against female entrances!
@@TheStepmonkey i couldn't stop laughing it was THAT bad, and it goes on for like 5 minutes nooooooo
She nailed this role. As someone who was going to goth clubs since the early '90s, it's great to see this style being popularized by shows like this, "Wednesday", etc. Makes me wish I was young again. 😆
My favorite part was when Tedro’s finger ‘lights’ up when he sees Sophie 🤣
I really enjoyed this movie! I’m glad I didn’t read the books because I probably would have been upset with them cutting stuff out but since I have no reference, I had a great experience!
Exactly. i dont like how book readers are always disappointed. Like, its not our fault that you know too much
This is what I say about every movie or show that is based off a popular book😂
I'm a book reader and I wasn't disappointed even though they cut stuff out they kept the important bits
actually the movie still keep the important part, so It's not disappointed
they smushed stuff together and removed 3/4th of the book, all the details are inaccurate, while soman chaini himself was working with the film?
This is what happens when you build media on vicariously living through characters. This is fan service incarnate
let's be honest she slayed
It was overracted
@@opheliebell22 that's what makes it so fun
it was really cringey tbh, sophie was my least favorite character she just seemed shallow and like she was just genz bait bc she was "alt and girlboss" and obv the bait worked i feel like i was more interested in what was going on with the school for evil as a whole rather than sophie because while they seem like bullies upfront they eere actually quite nice and were alot more accepting in a way than the school for good even the headmaster of the school for evil suprised me by not going after sophie and rather supporting her instead(other than the hair scene obv) but that worked out for her didnt it
she did but it went on a bit too long and i kinda tried not to get secondhand embarrassment after a while. Outfits were cool tho
@@bishwithwifi4938 we get that your pressed but you don't have to dilute everybody else's views with your shallow opinion on every single comment complimenting this scene. You can argue that every damn show today is made for gen z. Stop crying
0:47 sophie is a stylish villain like her style is for a princess and the colors is for the villain LOL
Fun fact: when Sophie comes and tedros sees Sophie his finger glowed it because it from the finger glow but when dove/the good teacher actually says when stronger your feelings stronger your magic so he go his finger glowed because how beautiful how Sophie was so his feelings were strong so his finger glowed
when sophie goes out the door with the other girls its like so fab. SLAY GIRLS Edit 1: wow I have never got 82 likes before Edit 2: 89 LIKES! Edit 3: 91 LIKES?? THANK YOU
AGREED
That walk though, weirdly imperfect but perfect. luvd it.
Same. I was like that top went one way and she the other 😂 .
This is really amazing scene, But imagine if she walk there with no music 😭
I just watched this movie last night. I love this movie and I really enjoyed it. This scene was my favorite scene in this movie. I love that music and Sophia’s acting was awesome. Everything was so perfect 👍🏼🤩❤️
Lmaoooo she thought she ate
If you haven’t read the books- this scene will not make much sense to you. Having read the books, I get why they would choose to show Sofie’s transformation clip. It’s a huge turning point in the book. When she suddenly decides make the most of being cast in the Evil lot- but I don’t like how they executed the scene. I mean- they are taking a book and cutting a lot out to make it fit a movie length- so they can’t go into detail about a lot of stuff, but this clip cut through so much material, it seems almost like a disservice. And I agree with some of the other commentators- it makes it look like Mean Girls or the Devil Wears Prada….Which is slightly amusing since there are some mean girl tendencies in the actual story- with Anadil, Hester, and Dot in the Nevers, as well as Beatrix and some of the Evers. Sophie is the most dramatic of all in the first book- and they capture that in this, but the way the actress portrays it seems fake- which is frustrating. I’m still looking forward to seeing how the movie turns out, but I can tell from their castings that they have changed a good deal. If you watched the trailer- there is no Rafal in the mirror talking to Sophie convincing her to be evil. Although it would fit in the story- it’s just not in the books. Also the School Master never says something about Sophie turning evil were all doomed in the books either. Of course, having enjoyed the books, I’m going to have some issues with changes. I just hope they are made for good reason.
This! This right here perfectly emphasized everything I was going to say!
@@bubblegumxemo I’m glad I was able to articulate what you felt as well. :)
thnks so much for these.. i tot i was the only one ... to see there's something off n odd with the School Master n Rafal
Yea most of the movies after books are doing this Cut lots of things and cool details
Cmon this is a movie, not a summary of the book
I love her look 🖤 It really brings a goth vibe! What a Queen energy how it does looks in her never side.
She played Lydia Deetz in Broadway.
“What is this all about” takes me out every single time… “I hope I’m not late…” 😂😂😂❤❤❤
I got strong Chilling adventures of Sabrina vibes from this scene.
Same, I'm glad I'm not the only one
I really loved this scene. Her walk Was everything. Her acting was so good. Her costumes were epic. She’s giving me Wednesday vibes. The movie was so good! Agatha and her did so so good!! I’m shocked I’m just now seeing this movie! I can’t wait for part 2.
Who said witches can't be stylish Their outfits are hella gorgeous
That confidence when Sophie walks in all in black with elegance like yesssss work it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow, I learned so much about this...movie? Series? Runway? Documentary on walking? Hard to tell.
True love kiss . Not that you will ever have it 😂🤣
@@stickman8059 what 😂
I see a lot of comments being negative, so I'm just going to say that this is most likely just a snippet of what a trailer is supposed to be. Besides, we already have a trailer even if that one isnt very long either. This is more, for example TikTok length. It's like something to hype up the movie. Apparently a lot of you forgot about details which I find the walking and posing part of the details. Sophie is very extra and so she makes everything about her look fabulous for instance the impromptu walking. I cant wait to get one of these for Agatha though bc maybe we'll see her in the black dress in the graveyard with reaper. I would love a Agatha version. I'm very excited for this movie and cant wait for it to be out.
I love the costumes from this scene so much.
Sophie was probably right as she said there was something between her and Tetros Because she knew that she was supposed to be a witch or evil, but she was fascinated by the fact that she looked like a princess That was the same as Agatha said if you want to win his heart, you have to show him that you’re good He even said in the beginning, the girl with the princess Hair
bro them giving her a side eye was just perfect
Any other book lovers see this and think “That is so Sophie!😂”
I LOVE THIS SCENE SO MUCH THIS IS JUST PERFECT
I've read up to the second book and I've been imagining Hort as a hunk one. Can't wait to see him like one in the movie.
This looks awful but the actual trailer looked dope WHAT HAPPENED??
They fast paced EVERYTHING, thats what happened. If you’ve read the books then you’d fully understand
@@joanie69 but you shouldn't HAVE to read it to understand. this is coming from someone who read and loved the books and my family had no context going in. i think this would've fit so well as a series where they can establish things by showing and not telling
@@joanie69 "They fast paced everything" Yeah, because this is a 2 hour movie?
The cinematography is so so goooood!!!!! Is insane level of cinematography, I'm really crazy for this part of the movie
I will never forgive the director for cutting out the scene where Sophie massacres the wolves and those pesky fairies
This would be a lot more compelling if it told me even like... A single thing about these characters and why I should care about them.
Read the books.
@@annah645 no thanks

That knife spin at the end though..!
I will be honest I prefer the bad over good in this one
Is it me or it's literally SAFER in the bad side in this movie??
LOL, the 'evil' side is so pathetic. 'Good' is pretentious, but Sophie is literally a fake goody-two-shoes who didn't get her way, threw a fit, and became a Regina George wannabe.

It's so dramatic 😭
I've been waiting for an ever high live action movie but this....this is way better
This whole vid's vibe made me remember that 'Whats wrong with being Confident?' song 😁

Oh, how I wish this is socially acceptable at school
SOPHIE SOLOSSSSSSS SHES SO AMAZING I HAVE THE BOOKS AT HOME AND IM LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH IT GO SOPHIEEEEE
This was a very telling production, the school of good and evil are both run by evil forces, the good are never really good but manipulate others' perceptions.
Harry Potter meets Highschool Musical then...
it’s not even a musical...
This is the best scene in the whole movie!😅 But when Sophie turned around her crown was gone 🤣 Found a mistake!☺️
She's in her second dress when she steps next to the wolf, it's a transition shot
And you're proud of yourself? weirdo
Bro thiss is sooo good i mean i literally came everyday here to see this masterpiece....😘✨
Girl thought she ate (she did)
So it's a show about people walking and posing at the same time? I'm confused. Do the people who made this show even know what it's about?
This is just a specific scene of the movie from a specific scene of the book.
@@annah645 Is that supposed to make it better somehow?
It’s a big turning point for in the books- which is why they chose this scene I presume. That being said? I don’t think they executed it well and for those who don’t know what’s going on, it can be misleading.
@@fallenxoxangl Didn't know anything about this. Just randomly clicked on a movie trailer. From the discussion I guess this is based on a YA novel or novels. I have to say the trailer is bad. Like somebody else it doesn't even tell you if it is a movie or series or what. It doesn't tell you who it is being made by like if they said From a novel by Stephen King or From the comic book X or from the people who made Twilight etc. SOMETHING to give you a clue why you should care. That being said the surprise on everybody's face at blond chick showing up and going by black signifies evil and good is associated with light that she chose the line for evil kids I am guessing she was expected to choose good but didn't. Wierd to my way of thinking though is ...if you are evil aren't you MORE likely to act up if somebody cuts in line? I was expecting her entire hand to glow since the said the more emotion the more glow and I expected something to set her apart since she was allowed to flaunce to the front of the line. Maybe it is the trailer editor and not the movie but this does not look good. Way too repetitive.
@@jacquelinecallejas1390 this is a clip, not the trailer. But I hear what you’re saying.
Professor Dovey and Lady Lesso looking at Agatha: Did you bring her into this?
I watch this scene so many time!!
Me too!!
Her walk for her first entrance would have a lot more power to it, if her dress wasn't so stiff and the bust of it wasn't just moving back and forth. The dress should have been two pieces instead of one. Still a great walk though.
Make you really wonder... which school would you belong in.. I feel like Sophie like I see myself in the good school but there is something hypnotizing about evil.. however my heart is pure.. it'd be cool if this were a real school
I just watched the movie. It’s really good. Worth to watch. 😊
I did love her style and makeover
The strut I can't 💀💀💀
I'm here because of my seatmate he always said that try to find this movie!!! So I try to search I think this is so nice!!! Excited to watch
Lesso must be tired from carrying the whole show on her back
Most people made fun of this scene without having read the book. Sophie is supposed to be a little extra and a little "trying too much". The fact that it's making you uncomfortable is the purpose : contrary to most "badass" scenes, it's not supposed to have you like "omg wow" but more like "... wtf ? ok girl" x)
I love this part
For a second, just for a second imagine this scene without music👁👄👁
watched the scene without music it's cursed
I'm so ready for this the books were so good. 😁👍❤️
The book made so much sense. The show is just too predictable. It is like they are egging the audience like YES, SHE IS A VILLAIN. LOOK HERE, LOOK HERE. SHE IS VERY VILLAINY. Like, calm down, Netflix, write the script according to the story, not according to your perspective.
I wish they made the movie longer so they could get more of the events from the book
@@user-jw7lg2re5u yeah I watched the movie last night, I would say it was acceptable. Not amazing but not bad. It seems they they are definitely going to make multiple movies so maybe they can add more later. Definitely think it should have been a show instead.
