  • I think its important to note that the munition was the weak link in this video, if you change the munition from ice to metal you would get an even more dangerous weapon out of this build. Would be interested how thick of a steel plate it could punch through

Most youtubers think that what's important is always the end product, but we as engineers, we really care about the engineering and the design behind it so we can learn stuff while enjoying the video and what you're doing!   • I FULLYYYYYY understand Charles' happiness in this video. Throughout the course of my life I've made a few completely deadly airguns (including a vortex gun that shoots over 10,000 rounds per minute) and yep... that feeling you get when it's done and blow something to a million pieces with it is something special XD

  • If you ever gonna make a V2 of this, you could try to get closer to the original by actually using snow - compressed into the right shape and density by using some of the air pressure. Imagine, you fill in some snow, press a button/lever that compresses the snow into essentially ice projectiles - and boom, you got yourself an unlimited ammo cheat code during winter😎 That said, the existing build is far better than what Epic Games puts into their game every winter😅

  • You know shit's crazy when the IRL version is more dangerous than the in-game one. For extra accuracy you could either rifling in the barrel or a rifled ice slug. A cardboard sabot might help protect the ice as it flies down the barrel so it doesn't disintegrate, or at least keeps better groupings.

  • the bamboo lab p1p is a stripped down version of the X1 carbon but with the same speed! and almost half the price I bought one and WOW are they fast! one note, dont over lubricate them as they start slipping and the prints fail they are about $1100 cad and come in fast (to BC) also at the part where James tells him to get back to work and theres a moment of silence you can here the printer going
