This is WHY YOU FEEL POOR!

Sometimes it looks like everyone around you is doing well and is rich and is having fun in the meantime you feel poor. Ever wonder why that is? I think some new data on the amount of inherited wealth with the largest wealth transfer in world history, taking place right now can shed some light on that.

  • Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.

    • It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.

    • My parents are getting older, and I have one brother. I live with them and help them. I'm lucky in that regard. A part of me wants to sell the house when the time comes and split the payment with my brother, find my own home, start anew but the other part of me, wants to continue living here. Continue caring for my mother's garden, and maybe rent out the basement to travelers? Or not, I have no children, no partner, and I'm in my early thirties. With the way everything is rising....Inheriting the house, and then maintaining it, even if I am blessed, raising my own family in it because it is a wonderful home feels almost like a safer idea for me. The older I get the more the idea of keeping the property in the family if possible feels wiser. Like I know the water bill. I know the electricity. It's all familiar. I know where the flaws are and already what I can fix/ improve. My biggest worry is just how to make enough money to afford keeping it. As much as I NEVER dreamed of relying on this kind of possible inheritance, I also can not deny how against the fear of the unknown, it's comforting. At the same time...I truly wish I didn't feel this way. For I want deny I still wish deeply I could afford my own home. It's such a crazy, crazy time.

Take your $1.5M and parents and relocate, live the rest of their days in luxury cause your USD would get you so much more there than here. Just saying. And don't go to fear phrases; there are countries with excellent healthcare at 1/4 the cost of what we're all paying here.

I can't blame the lucky ones receiving family help/inheritance. Not in the cards for me. Thus, I must cultivate an awareness of finding value in other aspects of life- my good health, my job I actually enjoy, the beautiful community I reside in... Privileged notions like retirement, home ownership, investments, etc. All this is fantasy for me. I'm not intending to garner sympathy or apathy, just an honest reckoning of my position. Perhaps I'll find a way someday. Stand Sure friends.

Hope you all learned something these past 4 years...... you get what you vote for.

America is a country with a small number of very rich people, but Americans in general are impoverished. 56% of Americans say they can't cover a $1000 emergency in cash. If $1000 is a lot of money to you, you're poor. If the survey upped that amount to $5000, I'll bet 80% of Americans would say they couldn't cover the emergency. No, I don't want to hear lectures about how we fritter away money on Netflix subscriptions and avocado toast. That's a bunch of crap. The real issue is that working hard just doesn't pay. I know a LOT of people who work VERY hard, are VERY frugal, and are STILL broke. This is why we need strong labor unions. I was a unionized worker (as a teacher), and studies show that teachers in strong union states earn 22% more than teachers in weak union states.

Buy assets and not liabilities. Shop farmer's markets, thrift stores, pawn shops, yard & garage sales, Craig's list, Facebook market place, ebay, and where ever you can get a good deal. If you want to win against inflation you will have to fight. More than ever we have to be on our game. Good luck out there.

Rich people largely value money over all else and spent their life focusing on money, so they can be controlled through cutting off their ability to spend their wealth. It is the middle class that doesn't rely on handouts and also isn't completely driven by money. Only the middle class would offer resistance against the mark of the beast and the beast financial system.
