The undercarriage looks really nice and clean. It'd be nice if all of the features/gauges on the dash were functional.
That's what happens when someone tries to convert a Malibu to a Chevelle SS. That's not going to be easy to sort out for the inexperienced guy. But it is a nice looking and sounding car.
I never understood why people put tons of money into the restores and leave the horn dead. In most states you still need the horn to work even on Antiques. Horns are super cheap to fix too. This car has quite a bit of Bondo on it. Interior looks great.

Solid lifters from factory fellow Marine order it in vietnam pickup right after he got home. Same paint & interior We drove that from S.C. to Indiana 3 times a month. Blow down interstate in tenn.130mph at night, sad he was drunk and went in iron bridge sideways high speed never got hurt but car never had straight piece of sheet metal left on the car wish i'd been able to buy motor and drive train. Was 4 speed.
Definitely a nice classic all the way down to it's classic rims. Did you hear the sound of that big block through it's exhaust? AWESOME!!

Looks a lot like the rocker panels have some filler in them, lots of bubbles, scratches etc. 39900 little bit high on this one

Just out of curiosity, I did a search on Autotempist for all 1970 Chevelles. Not promoting autotempist, just the search I used that correlates from multiple listing sites. With 87 results, the lowest price was $28k for a 1970 Chevelle Malibu with four doors and a 307 small block.

What I'm saying is the amount of work that has to go to that particular one. The car is worth 30 maybe. We all know once you touch something., Something else happens. Nice cruiser. That’s the kind of car you can take the kids to DQ and if you get a door ding, you won’t be happy, but it won’t be the end of a $25,000 paint job. The valve covers look out of place, a nice set of chrome OEM style would fit the vibe better. Address a few dashboard issues and drive her to the local burger joint.
