Big Bamboo Shoots are Sweet compare to the small type(bitter a bit), I've eaten this one, cooked with curry & pork and other meat. Best to make bamboo pickles. One of Borneo's food,too.100% organic.

Saya tinggal di Jateng Indonesia. Kalau petik bambu muda adalah yg baru muncul sedikit pucuknya dari tanah, bukan yg sudah tumbuh panjang, jadi segar dan tidak ada rasa pahit jika di rebus untuk sayur 🙏
Yah enaknya rebung, tapi ada kalanya terpaksa berpantang mkn rebung, misalnya tengah mengalami gatal2 kulit, klau tidak , byk masakan boleh diolah dari rebung yg manis dan rasa khasnya.

Ini di Jawa namanya "bung/rebung". Ini sebagai bahan dasar "sayur lodeh". Sayur(jangan, BHS Jawa) bung/jangan bung bumbunya standard seperti pada umunya "jangan/sayur lodeh". Kalau kurang pedas biasanya ditambahkan "sambel" sebagai tambahan rasa pedas. Bagaimana di Vietnam?? Salam dari Jawa, Indonesia.

After heavy rains, I hunt for this in our neighborhood. The Filipino for Bamboo shoot is "Labong". We like it sautéed, cooked in Coconut milk, and my mother's recipe-Lumpiang sariwa (Fresh lumpia). 🇵🇭❤️
