That was a fantastic match!!! Andresscu said to her coach " I want it so bad!" and he said "I'm glad to hear that..then go out there and fight...every point. fight! you know how strong your are! GREAT COACHING.

I forgot how dramatic those last few games were. It really was such an amazing tournament. I miss tennis so much. Here's hoping we get to see at least a little bit of this somewhere in the world this year. Stay home and safe in the meantime everyone.

This a great match up but another is Andreescu vs Mertens . Both have same tools and played well ! Andreescu has been perfecting her game by practicing with top 10s and grand slam champions in real time in WTA Tournaments such as the US Open ! She is an opponent who doesn't give up . She visualizes her win and lives it out in Technicolor !

Looking back at this match and the tournament, it was an astounding arrival of a special talent, an exciting and charismatic athlete, going on to win 3 important titles, while having the best win/loss record of the year, even while often being impeded by injuries, which continue today to keep us from seeing just how great a player Bianca could be. I am perplexed that while this brilliant play was occurring, there could be those who would even harbour thoughts like she went to the towels too often. Strange indeed.

If Bianca can avoid injury is a mighty big if. Sadly, she just withdrew from the 2020 Dubai open, her fourth withdrawal of the year. In the last 11 months, Bianca has been injured and unfit to play for 7 of those months. Her body can't handle the rigors of tennis. She should consider retiring from tennis and taking up a different sport. It's obvious that she can't withstand the physical demands of the sport.

Bianca one of my faves! She's awesome, and what a powerful cuddly body. Not to mention her great relaxed personality! Not seen this before, before her Grand Slam Win! And I love a great "Elation Show" when a player wins tournament to show how much it means! Bianca out in a great "Elation Show" at end! Kiss the court, roll on back....love that stuff! Nothing worse than when they just shake hands and sit down! Great stuff Bianca! 🤣🤣🤣👏👏❤️

After watch all these WTA matches, why doesn't the female players congrats the competitor when the competitor made a tremendous shot that they can't return? When I watch the men, a lot of them clap with their racket if their opponent makes a great shot.

jon prou No kidding 🤦♂️ Tennis coverage here sucks ass 🤬 Even with all the fantastic new Canadians out there (Félix, Denis, Bianca) we’re still lucky if we manage to get Grand Slam coverage. Other that that, we get Toronto/Montréal and that’s it. We need to have the networks step it up.

Andreescu has frustrated so many top players in the past few months ! She is taking lessons match by match and bettering her teachers ! If she stays healthy she will be playing "Billy Jean King" match up against men ! That's her mentor !

I’ve watched 2 or 3 other complete Andreescu matches and the extended highlights of several others and I completely agree. She has the ability to play whatever style is needed. She can blast away from the baseline with the best of them, she can neutralize some of the best servers in the game and all of those floaters, slices and lobs really mess up the players who need power coming at them to hit power back. It was really obvious in this match how much she messed with Kerber’s head hitting all those high balls, slices and floaters.

@Dr. Phil Well hello there Dr. Phil...what a pleasant surprise to have u reply! Yes,I agree with you partially in the fact SERENA IS THE GOAT & my fave, in fact I'm WAITING for the QUEEN to RETURN. WTA is boring without her & Aggie Radwanska. I like KUTZNETSOVA alot. I was Badmitton Champion of females as well as males in high school. I never consulted my coach except practice after school every day. I didn't have the luxury of seeing a ball bounce. I developed my own style. My coach was unique & counted on me to work out my game. But no coaching during a game. I understand SERENA 's game quite well. And when she ACES I feel IT in my soul. I was the same as a gymnast. I came to practice even with a broken toe. I had a great coach that I listened to & he trained me as his top gymnast, but you couldn't pay me enough to get on a 4" Balance Beam.lol YOU'RE right we all need help, especially from God Who grants the gifts. Before SERENA, I liked MONICA SELES. I couldn't help but see the chutzpah & game & like many wonder what might have been if she wasn't STABBED in '93.

Twice Kurber turned her back after the ball was hit by Bianca and subsequently was hit by the ball and she reacted with a look like "what do you expext" ?" I found that many of Bianca's opponents looked down on her in asnobby way .

What did Andreescu do that made Kerber call her “the biggest drama queen ever”??? I didn’t see Bianca doing anything dramatic. Was it something from a previous match???

1. Nothing, other than maybe Andreescu spending time getting an injury attended to. 2. Kerber said it after her ensuing loss to Andreescu, in Miami, not after this match. (Andreescu later had to pull out of that tournament due to her injury). 3. Kerber was (and remains) on a terrible roll. She was likely more frustrated with her own play and results than upset at Andreescu, when you get down to it. Still, no excuse. Kerber did laud Andreescu on twitter after the match, without every apologizing. (Not publicly, at any rate.) Not all that big a deal; certainly not to Andreescu. She just moves on.

Peter Hammer I haven’t looked at this match recently (or the one in question if it is different). Bianca was cramping and Kerber apparently didn’t buy it. At net after Bianca won Kerber said “like I say you are the biggest drama queen ever!” Clearly very judgmental and negative. Shocked me and that was the end of Kerber for me. Sore loser hardly says enough IMO. Bianca was in pain and struggling with her injury... NOT being a drama queen. Kerber in this match was the drama queen.

After this win Bianca beat Kerber again the next week and Kerber called her a "drama queen" just because she called for the trainer. She had a legitimate injury and was playing through it. After that tournament she missed the next 3 months so we know her injury was real. Players are allowed to call for the trainer according to the rules. I lost respect for Kerber after these two losses because of her attitude. She is a great player who never quits but when you are beaten just admit you were beaten. She has met her match in toughness in Andreescu who might rule the sport if she can stay healthy in the future.

So Bianca is a drama queen because she spent her breaks cooling herself off. She was smart and did something right. Cool yourself off before heat exhaustion gets you. Kerber had the same amount of rest on her chair. So to her thats drama.. Maybe you should of used your time a little more wisely.

That comment was made at Miami I believe, not after this match. The reality is though that whether people think Bianca was a drama queen or not, she suffered the shoulder injury that kept her out for months. The injury by the looks of things could have happened at Indian Wells, which means that while Kerber was complaining about Bianca being a drama queen, she couldn’t beat an injured teenage rookie at least once and maybe both times they played.
Look like Indian Well have a special celebrating for this Match.Bianca Andreescu may go far.She has talent,time and a lot Energy.

Andreescu has been perfecting her game by practicing with top 10s and grand slam champions in real time in WTA Tournaments such as the US Open ! She is an opponent who doesn't give up . She visualizes her win and lives it out in Technicolor !

Looking back at this match and the tournament, it was an astounding arrival of a special talent, an exciting and charismatic athlete, going on to win 3 important titles, while having the best win/loss record of the year, even while often being impeded by injuries, which continue today to keep us from seeing just how great a player Bianca could be. I am perplexed that while this brilliant play was occurring, there could be those who would even harbour thoughts like she went to the towels too often. Strange indeed.

If Bianca can avoid injury is a mighty big if. Sadly, she just withdrew from the 2020 Dubai open, her fourth withdrawal of the year. In the last 11 months, Bianca has been injured and unfit to play for 7 of those months. Her body can't handle the rigors of tennis. She should consider retiring from tennis and taking up a different sport. It's obvious that she can't withstand the physical demands of the sport.

After watch all these WTA matches, why doesn't the female players congrats the competitor when the competitor made a tremendous shot that they can't return? When I watch the men, a lot of them clap with their racket if their opponent makes a great shot.
I've seen Serena do it from time to time. I've seen Mladenovic do it too, but you're right, it's less often.
Nowadays, players spend more time to encourage themselves over their good shots and never appreciate their opponents good shots. Probably that is how their killer spirit tobwin is built.

I’ve watched 2 or 3 other complete Andreescu matches and the extended highlights of several others and I completely agree. She has the ability to play whatever style is needed. She can blast away from the baseline with the best of them, she can neutralize some of the best servers in the game and all of those floaters, slices and lobs really mess up the players who need power coming at them to hit power back. It was really obvious in this match how much she messed with Kerber’s head hitting all those high balls, slices and floaters.

WTA is boring without her & Aggie Radwanska. I like KUTZNETSOVA alot. I was Badmitton Champion of females as well as males in high school. I never consulted my coach except practice after school every day. I didn't have the luxury of seeing a ball bounce. I developed my own style. My coach was unique & counted on me to work out my game. But no coaching during a game. I understand SERENA 's game quite well. And when she ACES I feel IT in my soul. I was the same as a gymnast. I came to practice even with a broken toe. I had a great coach that I listened to & he trained me as his top gymnast, but you couldn't pay me enough to get on a 4" Balance Beam.lol YOU'RE right we all need help, especially from God Who grants the gifts. Before SERENA, I liked MONICA SELES. I couldn't help but see the chutzpah & game & like many wonder what might have been if she wasn't STABBED in '93.

What did Andreescu do that made Kerber call her “the biggest drama queen ever”??? I didn’t see Bianca doing anything dramatic. Was it something from a previous match???
1. Nothing, other than maybe Andreescu spending time getting an injury attended to. 2. Kerber said it after her ensuing loss to Andreescu, in Miami, not after this match. (Andreescu later had to pull out of that tournament due to her injury). 3. Kerber was (and remains) on a terrible roll. She was likely more frustrated with her own play and results than upset at Andreescu, when you get down to it. Still, no excuse. Kerber did laud Andreescu on twitter after the match, without every apologizing. (Not publicly, at any rate.) Not all that big a deal; certainly not to Andreescu. She just moves on.
Innis Mor Kerber was probably just bitter because she knew she failed to beat a rookie who was playing injured in Miami and probably in the match they played before.
She pretended an injury but continued to play like as if nothing happened. Making drama out of nothing.

Sore loser hardly says enough IMO. Bianca was in pain and struggling with her injury... NOT being a drama queen. Kerber in this match was the drama queen.

After this win Bianca beat Kerber again the next week and Kerber called her a "drama queen" just because she called for the trainer. She had a legitimate injury and was playing through it. After that tournament she missed the next 3 months so we know her injury was real. Players are allowed to call for the trainer according to the rules. I lost respect for Kerber after these two losses because of her attitude. She is a great player who never quits but when you are beaten just admit you were beaten. She has met her match in toughness in Andreescu who might rule the sport if she can stay healthy in the future.
