Red, White and Brass is a quirky, brilliant, funny and true story about Tongan superfans concocting an insane plan to get tickets to the Rugby World Cup... by forming a marching band.
They have no band, no experience, no skill, not even instruments on this wild ride to the World Cup.
It's filled with a wide range of characters you can't help but love and some beautiful character development in and around the confines of culture respecting both tradition and growth.
This perfectly embodies everything I adore about New Zealand films and provides us not only with some solid laughs, but also an insight into the importance of family and community in achieving your goals and the value of eternal positivity, creativeness, and resourcefulness in the face of insurmountable odds.
It's brilliant and a must see.
