This man is literally incapable of missing, every song is a fucking bop
at this point i want a MONTERO the movie. or the series. because the visualizers make me feel like i’m watching a story
I feel like he was very personal in this album. The line “can’t go running back to home can’t face her face” is him talking about his relationship with his mom. If you listen to dead right now knowing this it takes a really dark, sad turn and I’m sorry that he didn’t have a supporting maternal figure in his life. Amazing album!

This has to be the prettiest and most heartbreaking song on the album (although the whole thing is fantastic)

This whole album is a solid 10/10 but this song is 11/10, it's beyond perfect, definitely my favorite out of all, one of the best songs I've heard in a long time <3
I'm a middle-aged lady yet Lil Nas X music really moves me. Both his hits as well as the more emotional songs from this new album. It says a lot that he can touch such a variety of people regardless of their background, age, etc. I really admire him for breaking boundaries and living his truth. So inspiring!
I know, I know, it’s been a year since Montero’s release, but this is (in my opinion) his BEST song. I have listened to it more times than I can count and it never gets old. It’s so relatable, emotional, and overall a great song.
