Bekzat is to Umar what Arman is to Islam. Glad he faced some adversity and powered through and got the dominant win.
Islam was never in danger against Arman like Umar was against Bekzat, but i see ur point, both I and U were dominant and A and B on debut but gave a competitive fight

@@lukajovanovic7310 That's not totally accurate as both were not in any danger because they canceled each other out. I still think its the best grappling fight I have seen in the past 5 years and they need to get a rematch going before Islam moves up a weight class.

umar defensive instincts are next level. When he got caught, his body was already reacting defensively before he hit the ground. Amazing that kind of skill mainly the og's and special talent pull off.

I like to see umar use his jab more in his next fight, like he usually does in all of his previous fights, it helps control the distance better. Never forget to use your jab and feints umar, khabib had a hell of a good jab too (and also great feint jab) which was one of the many reasons he was never knocked down in his career and was never hurt. khabib once said umar needs to work on his boxing and once his hands are on the same level as his kicks he will bet truly elite. Also where was the bush kicks and question mark kicks ? He usually use them in all of his fights. umar landed 152 strikes on bekzat, and he only got hit 7 times. And he got a 30-25 score card in a 3rd fight. those are some insane stats and a crazy dominant performance by umar not counting the mistake he did.... Honestly the cory sandhagen fight makes the most since, even tho I believe cory deserve to fight for the title more than vera since he already beat him, cory sandhagen isn't gonna get the title shot any time soon. Vera and o'maylegy are gonna fight and than next will be merab to get the title shot, and sandhegan can't sit on the side line for 15 month without a fight or making money. Plus umar is a guy with a massive name (the star power the name nurmagomedov has is a real thing ), and an undefeated record, sandhagen has a lot to gain by fighting him....
He had knee and shoulder surgery before.. I also waiting for the kick boxing but then I realized maybe he wants to be careful and not using kick boxing yet until he feels 100% confidence with his body.. As he said, he was at 50% in that fight.. Plus I heard he hurts his arm or something during the fight week.. Still won with a very dominant performance..glad for him..

I already see people calling Bekzat a can, just to hate on Umar, but he is THAT good and we are yet about to see it
This UFC fighters will start avoiding Bekzat too. He can knock you out with one punch. Even Nurmagomedov couldn't choke him with RNC. He managed to swip Umar twice. And he did it having 3 weeks camp And he got american visa only this week , had to fly to Las Vegas 3 days before the fight (20 hrs flight, 12 hrs Jet lag, no acclimatization from winter (-25°C) to the desert (+ 20°C). Imagine what he can do after 6 months camp with Kazakhstani wrestling and boxing teams.
Fue una muy buena pelea, la disfrute mucho, en especial las partes reñidas que hubo, aunque no fueron muchas se sentía como que cualquier cosa podría pasar y eso es muy emocionante.
