This was a wonderful Christmas Present to the world. THANK YOU! FYI... I am originally from New York having now lived the majority of my adult life in Vietnam where I remain. There are places of dramatic spectacular beauty here of the type you typically showcase. You can find them mostly in the area of extreme Northwest Vietnam being Ha Giang, Meo Vac, Dong Van and Lung Cu which all can be done in a package booking from Hanoi. Yes of course there are the other more famous places but I respectfully suggest the places referred here be visited first. The best time to come to northern areas of Vietnam including Hanoi is from early November to mid December when the weather is nearly perfect every day. Hopefully you will have a chance to to return to Vietnam and visit these places!

Of course... Ha Long Bay is a place not to be missed at some point but getting around there these days is a bit like being on the NYC subway at rush hour so be sure of how your trip is planned. But let me share the following with you. Just like the leaves of autumn gradually disappear going north with the season... so are the colors of real traditional clothing worn by the local ethnic minorities. You will still be able to catch some real traditional clothing in the more remote areas in the region I have recommended. Sadly... in the not too distant future... the only place that the traditional outfits will be seen will be at "culture" parks and then only in cheap shiny nylon ink print form imitation. Anyway... thank you again for sharing all your beautiful works.

The humorous moment for me was the person exiting the vehicle for a better look at the lions, at that very moment the lion looks up at the person & he immediately gets back in the vehicle!
