It really is simple to pull out. Just yank it out however you can. The reinstall is what's a bit more tricky. The end wants to hang down and catch on every lip, but with some basic balance and good pry points, it'll bounce right in. I did learn that it is possible to be upside down. I always thought it was symmetrical. Smarter every day!
On my cat 312 when I replaced my idler wheel I didn’t have to break the track thankfully. Pushed the idler in and set the track aside. Great helpful video.

I hardly think it’s necessary to carry while I work. I do it so I’m used to it, and I’m comfortable carrying no matter where I am. I have had some sketchy characters roll up to my place before though. Thanks for watching!

That's a tough job for a single person. I can even put my differencial back in without a help of my wife
