Easy how to make a Hula Hoop cheap. Hula hoops purchased at a store can be too big, too small, or too light for your personal preference. Use the following steps on how to make a hula hoop that measures up to your individual needs. Making hula hoops at home is inexpensive, all you need:
Purchase 3/4 inch (19.05 mm) 160psi irrigation tubing. This type of tubing is found at hardware or home improvement stores in the plumbing section. Buy a PVC pipe cutter and a 3/4 inches (19.05 mm) PVC tube connector. This cutter and connector are located near where you purchase the irrigation tubing. Cheap and the best way, you can also use a hacksaw! Soften one end of the tubing. Boil a large pot of water and insert one end of the tubing into the water for 30 seconds. Add about a 1/4 cup of rice, you can custom weight this, more or less rice. Decorate the hula hoop. Add some personal flare, such as glittered tape, paint or any other enhancements.
Hula hooping is a fun activity that can be a great cardiovascular exercise, burning up to 200 calories per 30 minutes of use.
Thumbs up for Jackson walking with the hula hoop... Too funny :)
That kid has more talent than I do. He's great.
me too lol!!!
if you guys are looking to hula hoop professionally or for tricks, you can tape it up with gaffer tape and it will have a better grip :) Great tutorial!

Whatelse can I use to replace connecters?
Thank u so much
I like it
what kind of pipe to be used madam
im all out of rice, can i use lentils?
do you live in Canada ?
I could only find the 1/2 inch tubing. So I looked. For the 1/2 inch connectors. They were too small. They literally fall into the tubing.
Which type of pipe that u use
question.... 1.i'm 5"7 and weight 65 kg ..how much rice I have to use in my hula hoop??
The rice isn't really needed. The originals didn't have rice. Height and weight makes no difference.
I really like this project however, I don't have the money to but "a heated saw".. I think it would be cheaper just to get a couple @ Wallmart :-/
It’s a hack saw! Not a heated one
Great video. Why 3 connectors. Would one do if making one hoop
Stacey Porter Hey Stacey, just 1 connector was used!
She said 3/4" connector not three 1/4" connectors
👌
👍👏👏👏Türkiye Isparta✊
Jackson, You friggin showoff
Hello, why put rice, can you use something else?
Meet your new subscriber
do you have to use the rice
No you do not need the rice, it just gives it the shake sound and adds a bit more weight if you want it. The weight makes you have to work a little harder if you are hula hooping for exercise!
but good vid :)
If the end is open then how can you Put rice in it
Those hoop are very cheap and if your kids are normal, they'll be kinked and not usable in no time! Plus, if you leave them outside and it rains, they get filled with water. Junk. I found a DIY hula hoop tutorial and made hoops for me and the kids and these things are nearly impossible to destroy. Plus, if you buy the tubing, you can make one for yourself that's big enough for an adult to hoop with your kids. For thirty bucks, you can get a few nice hoops. Definitely worth it.
You have Hindi channel
I WANT TO MAKE 1 SOOO BAD!!!!!!!!!!but i can't cuz i don't have the supplies and i am too lazy to get the supplies and i don't have time!!!
Seriously!? Dollar store has for $1! Just wrap in fancy tape. Boom! Done!
Why do you put rice in it?
It's for sound to keep a beat. Kids hoops come like that, from department stores. For hoop tricks and professionals, or for anyone who doesn't care for the swishing sound, skip the rice.
oooohh
Or you could get one at walmart for two bucks instead of over thirty
crybaby kitty dance hoops are between 25-300 bucks
The weighted hoops are good for exercising. I can't keep a regular hula hoop up. But I can get my heart rate up and keep going for a while with a weighted hula hoop.
Walmart hoops are very poor quality, I recommend a site like georevhooping.com
this is actually very helpful when planning decorations. hulla hoops aren't cheap really when you want a bunch for a project
I wouldn't use any edible food inside it... use plastic beads instead.
I wouldn't put anything in it. it messes up the weight. The water hoops are hard to use. The water makes it harder.
R they your grand kids
I love to 11g
i can. Holahoop for20mins;-)
The tape could be better
Umm... all you have to do is have 3 things A already made hula hoop, duct tape, and bacon o.O
I really like this project however, I don't have the money to but "a heated saw".. I think it would be cheaper just to get a couple @ Wallmart :-/
