But then you have people like George Foreman, who took so many shots that their brain should be mushed, yet Foreman even today speaks normally, like he didn't take a shot in his life. It just seems... unnatural?

  • Hagler : never staggered, buckled, hurt, or knocked down. And the publicized "knockdown" by Roldan was the result of a slip after getting pulled down by Roldan. See the replay. Hagler is the toughest I've seen - best chin too.

    @kufujitsu@kufujitsu6 жыл бұрын
    • @ kufujitsu - Without question Hagler had one great chin... but HW wise, I always think of Ray Mercer... but, for me, the best ever chin, has to be James Toney... NEVER stopped, NEVER knocked out...in 92 fights... James Toney went 12 rounds, twice, with 18 stone Samuel Peters... Toney, a once middleweight champion, was NEVER even hurt by Holyfield at Heavyweight... Sure, Toney lost fights, but only on points... Would Hagler have been able to put on 4 stone and jump in the ring with Holyfield or bigger puncher Peters....Nobody, in 92 fights, has ever knocked Toney out, that's incredible considering his rise through the weights...Roy Jones Jr was knocked clean out by Glen Johnson and Tarver...god knows what the 18 stone big puncher Peters would've done to him... James Toney, FACT, knocked OUT Wladimir Klitscho out in sparring... Peppe Roach and other respected witnesses have stated that it's true... Relatively, Hagler definitely had a better chin than the likes of Lewis, even Tyson. Would've been best ever HW if 4 stone heavier and 6 inches taller....No wonder Leonard ducked Hagler until '87... Hagler was calling him out in '83 after he beat Duran, and in '85 after the war with Hearns...Leonard shat himself, even retired to avoid facing Marvin, only coming out of retirement to fight him when he knew he had a chance because Hagler had lost speed and sharpness...Hagler doesn't get the praise he deserves, too many pricks harping on about Sugar Ray Leonard, no doubt unaware that he ducked Marvin for 4 years, lost to Duran when Duran was fit, only beat Duran when Ray made sure that Duran would be exhausted, hence his lethargy in the 'No Mas' bout...Apologies for going on, just can't stand Leonard getting all the glory, when he was more of a crafty coward, waiting, scheming, more crafty than Mayweather has ever been...Leonard only fought the big boys when he knew he would win...Hagler, Duran, Hearns? They were men, men that would fight anyone anywhere...End of rant. Lights out

Without the despicable, corrupt antics of SRL & the WBC (see donny lalonde), there would be no FW. Would Hagler have agreed to a fight against McGregor, or Hearns, or SRR, or their like? The simple answer is no.....what a fucking travesty boxing has become, commonplace to avoid anyone considered a match. fighters skipping 2 weight divisions & getting a title fight (khan, brook) with no hope of winning, just getting a big payday. Did champions before SRL get to choose the size of the ring, the referee, the weight of the gloves, the venue, the date, the opponent even? Larry Holmes, a dominant world champion came in first against Cooney, thanks to SRL & his bullshit.Fighters blaming their losses on "i had nothing to fight for" (the public forgetting they are prizefighters) or my gumshield wasn't fitting, or i had to lose too much weight, or my lucky socks got shrunk. Earning tens of millions & fighting only once every 12-18 months, it's all a farce
