Can't wait for the next episode ;-) One question. When i changed shortcuts from default to EDAPT i'm losing my usual commands like F6, F9 etc. Do you plan to talk about shortcuts in the next episode, or i missed something? Thank you man! Love your channel !
That's to be expected as all of your shortcuts are changing to EDAP control. There are new shortcuts for each to help with a better workflow when using EDAP.

I'm curious, do you have an opinion on a rigging comparison between Adobe Animate and Blender? More specifically, which is better? 😆 It seems that the multiple setups you would have to procure in Adobe Animate just look more complicated than Blender's. I'm speaking as a total newbie at both btw, so I was wondering whether I was mistaken or not. I'm watching your video here but it seems to me that the rigging system doesn't look as easy and intuitive as Blender's rigging. If it's true then I would be highly disappointed in Animate as a product, as they are supposed to be one of the leading programs for animating. Love your videos as always! 😺😺😺

Hello! Your tutorial has been very useful and informative for me! Though i wanted to know/ask if its possible to make the individual joints in another program and import them in? like photoshop for example and then import all those separate layers for each indiv. part?
Yep absolutely, each part is a symbol, it doesn't matter what the contents are. Glad you enjoyed the video, but please don't just out both my parents like that. Jeez.

Awesome video as always, quick question though at 12:35 you break the objects and draw the line before filling in the color, you seem to be able to use symmetry somehow, (you were able to draw lines on both side by dragging it once) is that available in Animate. If so can you tell me how? Thanks.
There no symmetry I just cut out me coughing so it looks like I draw two at once haha

I think you can do that with Character Animator.
Just discovered your channel and these rigging videos are a life saver! Quick question - do you know if the Bounding Box reset (shift-T) has been deprecated? I can't seem to make it work like you do here.
Don't think so, but there's a shortcut window you can check in the app to see if it's changed.
@@TipTut Yeah - i think it's gone in the latest version. A search for "bounding" or even "box" turns up nothing. Boo!
@@johnt.mickevich2772 Search for "Zero Transform" or "Set Reg Point To Transform Point" and you'll find what you need.

i was following along until about 8 mins in and then things got extraordinarily confusing. you began rapidly doing things without really explaining why and I couldn't keep up anymore.

Ok Ok Ok, I'm loving these Tutorials! I almost uninstalled Adobe Animate, because I hated Flash... HATED, I am using the word "Hate" here. I HATED Flash. You'd swear that Flash killed my parents in my origin story. I'm digging what this adds to the arsenal, Are there any tutorials that show how you can use Adobe Character Animator in conjunction with Animate? I'm sure I could figure a way to do everything separately, and then composite it in After Effects, but it be nice to streamline my work flow as much as possible. I look forward to your future tuts and watching the ones I've not seen yet! Cheers

Excelent tutorial, but at 15:23 the shortcut for the symbol registration only works with EDAP Tools installed? I trired direclty in animate and did not work. And this kind of registration works on illustrator files imported to animate or I have to build the entire character in Animate? Tks!
Yes, you need EDAP tools, the basic version is free. You can work with anything that you can turn into a symbol, so yes Illustrator files will be fine.

Hi! Thanks for the tutorial, I'm having a small issue with adding points onto the rectangle. Instead it adding a point when I hold control, a black box comes up and it moves the whole rectangle. I'm off the guide layer, and Im using the graphic symbol. Any way I can fix this? Thanks : ) EDIT: fixed it, I was using subselection instead of selection 😅

Is this the rigging approach to like shows like rick and morty/family guy/etc? I know they use a different software but would this be sufficient to replicate their movement system?
Yeah absolutely, you can replicate that style with this technique

Do you no how to set it back to normal I'm in the middle of one of my animations and I don't want to try this new character rig till I'm done with it.
The only thing you need to do is change the shortcuts. You could also just create a copy of the document to test it out.
11:47 when i doing this, that not combined, 2 circle after i delete inner line, i cant fill color, so i group them, but still same cant fill them color. i use animate 2020 whts wrong

For some reason, my symbol won't adjust it's bounding box after choosing Shift +T. Any other suggestions.
you have to use Edap shortcut for that to work i suppose

Edapt doesn't work for me. I cannot deactivate autokeyframe on Mac...
Great tutorials, but all tutorials i've watched, you've created the character in Animate. What if I made mine in Illustrator? :) I doesn't look like yours on the timeline and in the library, when I do that.
Hi, just bring your character in a piece at a time and convert each piece to a symbol for the same workflow.
@@TipTut Thanks for the fast answer :) Just to be sure. The way to do this is to save an Ai file for every bodypart (one for head, one for upper arm etc.) and then import them to stage or library? :)
Not that complicated, you should be able to copy and paste directly into animate from illustrator
@@TipTut I tried that, but im only getting layers in the timeline and not in the library like yours under "Link Character". It's probably cause I'm doing something wrong :) I'll figure it out somehow :)
after watching part 1, I still don't know what edap is or why it is needed. just one more thing to make me confused.

Populating the symbols is more confusing than trying to get to the star in mario. Edit: This is my 4th day in Adobe Animate. Im quite new guy here, ive found lots of people working with this program but I’m sure even tho I am struggling now. With your tutorials I’ll be getting better and more experienced.

Hey brother, i hopr you are now a pro in adobe animate :). Can you please guide me, i had a ghost made on illustrator, i have all it limbs separated, now when i inport it to my adobe animate, i am unable to apply the bone tool to it.
Programs such as Adobe Animate are very weak in terms of rigging, in fact, if riging is to be done, it should be done with programs such as 3dsmax or maya.
