Thank you, merry Christmas for you and your family
i listen to this music pretty much every sunday, it gives me peace and it reminds me of some of the good that is still in this world
And that it's worth fighting for.
Me too.
Your comment brings a tear to my eye. This has been my favorite music since I first heard it. Howard Shore is phenomenal.
Definitely not crying rn
There is still some good left and it's worth fighting for
“Hobbits really are amazing creatures. You can learn all that there is to know about their ways in a month, and yet after a hundred years they can still surprise you”
My newborn just fell asleep listening to this ❤
congratulations for your newborn!
I hope when he is/she is older they get to sit down with you and watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Such a beautiful masterpiece.
Just got the idea and same 😊😢😂 this is how legends are born 😂
This music has accompanied me in the last 20 years every time I needed to study... it got me through uni and now that I returned for a masters, it is guiding me again. I cant be more thankful to Peter Jackson and Howard Shore for this absolute marvel.
Same. I journeyed "there and back again" many times in my graduate and doctoral studies. I almost thanked Howard Shore in my Acknowledgments. Any paper I've ever written has been in the realm of Middle Earth.

For me it was always The Breaking of the Fellowship, I had a particularly awful office job and on my walk to work I would imagine an orchestra playing it, and really focus on the last part where it becomes more hopeful and optimistic, and by the time I reached the office I felt like I could face another day. That was 15 years ago and it still puts that same swell in my heart every time I hear it (and the original version played by the New Zealand orchestra, which is slightly different than the version that made it into the movie). True soundtrack to my adult life.
Yeah, pretty much me too my friend👍😊
Loved the books, movies and music as a teenager and now I get to share it all with my own children who love it. A gift for generations to come
Wow, it's hard to believe how much time has flown by on me; although I'm well advanced in providence for future generations at 35, there is the part I've yet to play in Siring my Lineage with a Maiden, Her Ladyship, that I am sworn by Oathen Drive to contend the ledger providentially and critically rounded in it being or otherwise having been secured. Not by perversions of caliphate nor apartheid that casts sympathy with the mind, depraved, usurpial, supplanted, nor 3dimensionately implicative gainst the providence of Man under God, that God is Beyond the comprehensions of man, whereso those faulty and short coming culprits have tried sympathy magick in child sex trade holdings that lacked that which best served the call to Apartheid and Caliphate clandestine as that of the Rule of Sallahudin. 🫡🤨😐😑😐🤨🫡
I am a teen and i love these movies and the books ❤
Howard Shore may not be the most memorable or famous composer out there, but the LOTR films... their soundtracks are under rated hidden gems that will never get old and will live on with the series for ever. Pretty dang cool
Absolutely stunning music
The most beautiful movie music of all time. The songs of the elves especially "The Council of Elrond" is next to heavenly. When you see in your mind Arwen singing it you know it has done it's job. Well done Howard Shore and thank you for making us feel good will always prevail over evil.
@@andrewlowe9969 IT's very good not sure it's the most beautiful. But good.
These were the happiest day of my life , a child free from all burden and society pressure ❤
Well said. Mine too! Golden times.
Who needs pop, rap, or any modern music when you can have this? Like a smooth lake above a rocky bottom, this music is leagues above all modern music on the radio and internet today.❤
Agreed
One cannot get tired of this music nor the Movies...Thank you forever Peter Jackson!!!!

And Peter King.
And J. R. R. Tolkien

Yes, there is weakness. There is frailty. But there is courage also, and honor to be found in Men.
J.R.R. Tolkien was a hero of mine growing up. Even in death, I shall walk with him, & the memories of the times I’ve spent with his books & movies.
I read The Hobbit in 6th grade and I was never the same. I just turned 60 this year.
@@salvatoredebella4502 Happy birthday.
Tolkien did movies? That's news to me.
@@salvatoredebella4502 ~ yeah, I completely understand. "The Hobbit" was the first "REAL" book I read. It changed my life forever as well. However, It took several years later for me to get all the way through ( and really understand ) the entire "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. It makes me happy that J.R.R. Tolkien, with the urging and support of his friends, did complete his masterpiece... AND, not only did he finish this herculean task - with all the created histories and original languages - what's even better is when it was finally published it was a critical & popular success right from the moment it appeared in book shops. ( And still is to this very day! ) Unlike so many other authors, J.R.R. Tolkien lived to see his life's work become world famous, beloved by so many. Generations celebrate his work, and it's even reshaped our culture. Well, our pop-culture anyways. I remember in school, my friends would be talking about different parts of "the trilogy" - Have you gotten to "This part with the black riders yet?" "You mean the naz-ghouls?" (Who?) "Do you think Gandalf is dead?" ( Yes! ) etc... No live action films yet, but there were animated films, along with another film called "Wizards" that became an underground classic. There were art books & calendars by the Brothers Hildebrandt; Twin artists that painted exactly alike and who created all the first sensational visuals for the trilogy. ( Tim Hildebrandt's painting of "Smaug" is incredible! ) Every weekend was spent in someone's basement playing the first edition of "Dungeons & Dragons" - for those who just could not be fulfilled by reading J. R. R. Tolkien's books alone - but needed to actually PLAY the story over and over again. Tolkien created a new literary drug and it was addictive! Then, suddenly... one of the biggest rock bands in our teenaged-world started singing about things in the trilogy! In our eyes, the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy could receive no higher standard of excellence than to become the stuff of "rock n' roll mythology". It was a phenomenon. It still is, and I believe it will forever be so. Not because of the films or music, ( yes both are wonderful ) but because all of that is based on "The Lord of the Rings" - J.R.R. Tolkien's true literary masterpiece. Books this good make your life better.
Nice and beautiful words from your heart.
Everyone who listens to this music, we share the same line of thought, immersed in the gentle and pure music. Wishing everyone peace and dispelling worries.
❤
The beauty of this music wants to make me cry
Words cannot describe the amount of joy and emotion LOTR music gives me! ❤
I've been playing this very quietly in on my headphones while reading LOTR. It's perfect!
This music make me feel contented and as if I have already lived a long, adventurous, and successful life.
I already have
Me: Let's listen to some music while being productive Also me: Sits there, staring blissfully into the middle-distance while envisioning living life like a Hobbit
A very heavenly mix. Its how I would imagine the mixed emotions of entering a such a place (heaven) if such a place does exist.
Alma calls it the song of redeeming love
i agree
Heaven does exist. According to the Aposle Paul there are 3 heavens.
Heaven does exist and you can be assured to go, through a relationship with Jesus Christ. John 3:16 and Romans 10:9 in the Bible. God bless you!
Rest assured there is a heaven. The God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses, who is responsible for the creation of everything visible and invisible has destined us for eternal life. It is up to us to respond to his invitation. Seek Him and find everlasting life in the Catholic Church. 🙏🏼
What a masterpiece this trilogy was!
15:12 this one is really nice, especially that first melody she sings
May all the listeners here and fellow travelers on Life's road have peace, strength, joy, and all kinds of visible goodness.. Handshakes and hugs from Chicago
And good tidings to you...from Wales...the land of the Dragon.
- Most people are waiting for their Hogwarts letter, but I am waiting for a gray wizard with fireworks to come.
Day 12th of listening to this amazing piece of music... god if only 1% of people would be like Shore and Tolkien I think the world would be a better place. Skiped a few days and my general will to live just dipped... music is truly a good way to keep your "soul" happy. BACK to the writing board (I'm using this mix/music piece's to write...)
I've read the Silmarillion 15 times. Watched LOTR (with all its flaws) many times, read LOTR 5 times, read the Hobbit 10 tens about. This music really gets you.

15:33 for that last 5 minutes, i am just....sitting, wondering what words shall i type to describe and praise this masterpiece. even now, i cannot think, for i am trully stunned. to all those who gave their blood, sweat and tears to this project, you my friends, have truly attained greatness. especially Howard Shore.
Last five minutes, beginning or ending at the time stamp?
Nearly 1 hour of unique majestic LOTR music. What is better than that 🥰
If Tolkien were still alive and continuing to write, that would be better

Out of the many relaxing Middle Earth ambient mixes on the internet this is my favourite! Wonderfully seamless, everything blends beautifully together x
Beautiful… just beautiful. Eru Ilúvatar created Arda through music. How fitting is it that this trilogy was endowed with such masterful, powerful and beautiful music. ❤
Absolutely heartbreaking mix. Thank you.
Absolutely the greatest mix of the greatest soundtrack ever written for film!!
That first few minute intro is so insane with the transitions
This is how a mix should be done. So seamless. Great job! And thank you!
I thought so too until 19:30 happened. Oof. Still great though
Beautiful music, I can see many of us were captured from the first time we listened to it. And it is so refreshing to read such a healthy comment section! thanks the ambient score for making such a great mix
30:50 this part always brought me tears omg, its the most melancholy melody that I ever heard

какая же душевная музыка в этих двух фильмах - Хоббит и Властелин колец, очень приятно, спасибо
This is so great! I would say that a movie should be made about these books and using this music as the backdrop would be amazing!!
Love the music and the films. I can watch them over and over again. Read the books at school and loved them.
This feels magical 🦋❄️
Brillant , made my sunday morning so relaxing
I love this music and these incredible films. This is what motion pictures were meant to be
IMO, to me, this sounds like the best KZhead vid for Lord of the Rings music; truly! 😊
This is incredible how me and all of you guys are in love with this music. We all comes from different places in the world and yet We are all connected thanks to this music and the emotions it gives us. If you're happy right now, keep going! If you're having a hard time, you'll be fine soon!
why does it hurt what we love the most? so great and painful at the same time.. because we miss the world we have never been and what we see around us in real is really different from Tolkien's fairy world... ❤❤❤
when you see the evil around you, just close your eyes, imagine you are climbing through mordor, imagine Sam is at your back, and if all else fails, the Rohirrim will always show. We fans can always live in this world together. years may pass, we will all still be here

Liv Tyler's voice is so perfect @15:30 - absolutely mesmerizing.
shall be listening to this while producing the rest of my painting today very relaxing when it feels like there is so much noise pollution regarding the outside world in my head right now hence I struggle to sleep just now.
I listen to this every morning to help with my anxiety it takes me away for awhile so i don't have to think about the madness going on in the world today 😢
I have had a revelation concerning my own anxiety and other issues I face: The issue is the ring. I have to walk to hell to get rid of it. But in Mount Doom, where the ring came from, is where the healing is. The road is long, hard and you will only get there one step at a time. This music helps me on my many quest to Mount Doom. If I may suggest a quote thats helped me as well: If you change the way you look at things the things you look at change. Hang in there. You'll be fine. Nothing but love
Just finished watching all 3 movies for the first time recently. Medieval usually isn’t my thing, but these movies put me in a phase of liking medieval fantasy. I can really feel the reasons why people are such nerds for this series. It’s really something special. Not to mention the movies are positively thought provoking, which is something most movies nowadays don’t do.
For the first time??? May i ask how old you are??? I was instantly hooked Sophmore year of highschool when i saw this in Theaters
@@MANLETofPEACE I'm 20 years old. The trilogy was always on my list, I just hadn't gotten around to watch them until my family sat me down themselves.😅
@@samm.8052better late than never. The stories truly are powerful. They transcend so much about what we know and touch on so many core human themes. Tolkien was a genius. I feel when people do watch these movies it's never quite what they expect. The level of immersion Jackson and Co. achieved was worthy of Tolkien imo and that is why they were so successful. The real secondary world. Other fantasy just isn't the same.
It isn't mediaeval, it's meant to be much, much older than that period. Tolkien constructed a 'history' for England based on the Norse/Germanic sagas, which is why his work stands head and shoulders above average fantasy stuff, and is really in a category of its own. I hope you read the books, as they are so much better than the films (and I love the films!).

Matthew 13:18-23 18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. 22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. 23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
