@Onyi Ononye that's the ijn tenryuu sister ship Ijn tatsuta In the game and lore of the franchise (Kantai Collection Kancolle) she's the yandere chick who has a crush on her sister and tenryuu has a tough guy image but it melts quite fast especially around kids and she is kinda the ideal tomboy waifu. I don't know much about their military record in ww2 but I know tenryuu is the only Japanese ship who scored a hit in every fight she was in tho.

Before watching this I was like.... “Is this Disturbed’s Legion of Monsters?” And here I am. Imma be honest tho, I kinda enjoy seeing and hearing songs in their nightcore version but Disturbed? It’s fine but it kinda doesn’t fit that much, regardless, I still appreciate this \m/

Actually this is confusing because its an anti monster song, has a PERFECT sound to it, and isnt even about the LITERAL monsters lol Therefore the Anti aspect isn’t technically even directed at us even though it kinda technically REALLY applies if you listen with a secondary meaning in mins lol Its like an anti human monster song (Not to be mistaken with Human-Monsters. Completely different concept lol) That doesn’t actually keep literal monsters in mind. So now we kinda fall into this weird grey area on just HOW MUCH this even applies to my people 🤣 We technically ARE inspired by monstrously evil, selfish, vile people. However in a completely different way! Basically they’re typically the ones responsible for beating my people so deep down into the depths of despair that they’re given the offer/shown the path to shedding their humanity & become whatever monster they’re fatefully intended to become and carry on as. So not like DIRECT inspiration. But more like the inspiration to become part of the nesscessary Greater Evil and consume/annihilate the lesser evils that tormented you. However our Greater Evil isnt really the same as gross human evil . We have a legitimate purpose & reason for existing + doing what we do. Its intended by the universe in the “Divine Script” as we call it. Once our dutys as the “Dark Angels” of the world are complete and everything plays out as it should, we will all be at peace from our great despair and suffering... So idk exactly where my opinion falls here 🤣 This is a...unique case 😂
For me it can be interpreted in one of two ways, The initial setting/inciting event is the same, some tragic atrocity is committed and the media brings widespread attention to it. One way it can be read is that the atrocity inspires more people who have hidden dark tendencies to go and commit further/additional atrocities of their own, an the song is criticizing the initial perpetrator for catalyzing all this additional tragedy and violence that will be done out of inspiration or as a challenge to overcome in spectacle. The other way it can be read is that the atrocity makes otherwise calm and kind people crack past a point and agree that things have gone too far, and that vengeance and retribution must be done. Essentially, the response is not that people will be inspired to commit more atrocities out of inspiration or challenge, but they will be inspired to enact counter-violence to punish the perpetrator for their deeds. This is why almost all of the AMVs of this song is of some faction or characters enacting over-the-top revenge on some other party that did something evil to them.

I normally like nightcore but I honestly think you'd be better listening to the original. The song is already pretty fast and a lot of the beauty from the song comes from the lower pitches. Sort of lost in translation in nightcore. Could see myself using it to fight a boss or something though.
