Don't expect an epic story , this is a game about exploring and fighting. It can be frustrating at times but when you get the hang of it, it's super fun.

are battles fun and difficult😊 at least ? because it's graphics until now are phenomenal 😮compare it with famous latest supposedly 'best' rpg and you ll notice the difference this game here looks true quality
I've still have a nearly decade old, un-opened 3DS copy of this game that I've been meaning to "get around to" _forever._ Maybe I'll get this remaster and see how much longer the backlog fairies keep it from me.

That game is worth some money. I sold mine when I sold my 3DS, years ago. I wish I hadn't though as there's some really good 3DS games and I had the Zelda version of the 3DS. Oh, this game is also pretty good, on the 3DS, so I pre-ordered this as soon as it became available. I think I ordered the limited edition version from NIS America but I also ordered one from Amazon. The NIS America version is for the Switch and the Amazon order is for the PS5.

@@kidrobot. Nevermind, guess the game isn't worth very much now that there's other versions around. I was going to say just sell it but it's only going for roughly $25 on eBay right now. I sold mine for like $80 or something like that.
I never did enjoy the original, unfortunately 😕 The Alliance Alive was MUCH better in my opinion.
Shame they didn't just put the two games on a cart, that would definetly give it mote appeal and value for money.

I already bought it for PS4 and I have no regrets. Planning on getting the Switch version as well as on Steam to add in my libraries. I like the game quite a bit and the grinding doesn't bother me whenever I play JRPGs.
They were going for a little something different with this and I'm cool with that. There may be a lack of depth in story but its popup book world and art style I think is very charming. This to me is a bit of a more palette cleansing sort of JRPG from a more serious effort like coming off of a Final Fantasy or Trails game. This game style to me definitely has a place but is not for everybody all of the time. I was quite surprised this got a re-release but I'm thankful as the Limited Edition through NIS looks very nice and should be on my doorstep soon. Thanks for this Noisy!🤓🧐🥳🤓
nah, they were going for the saga frontier style and failed. also nothing about this would be a pallete cleanser from ff or trials

Yeah, so is it just me or did the alliance alive smoke this on both consoles. For a game with saga dna it feels more like a mana game. I suppose it’s a matter of preference. This is a great review to let people know what’s going on.
I kinda think it sounds like a very interesting game. Turns out one of the devs worked on some of the Saga games. That sells me on it instantly.
To have all this legendary talent on a game without an epic story feels like a waste.

A very fitting score, that's really as good as it gets. But let's be real, they sent this game out to die. $50 for a remaster that adds virtually nothing? And with the absolutely massive catalog of RPGs out now & later, this won't do good. It's very telling when the Alliance Alive, a game from the same devs, that came out later gets a remaster way earlier than this.

I didn't liked the original on the 3DS It was because it was sooooo grindy And if the character wasn't in your party then didn't level up

The vast majority of RPGs you can steamroll without any grinding and most of the games where grinding IS possible usually have optional content and things to grind REAL quick as well as being very linear because most RPGs don't have this kind of growth system. This game is literally UNLIKE most RPGs, the opposite of your statement.
@@Tenseiken_ I was referring to your comment about characters not levelling if not in your party. Most RPG’s I know only have levelling for active party members. Also comments like ‘it’s so grindy’ are useless statements because everyone has different thresholds for grinding. You might be impatient and expect everything to come easy whereas someone else might actually like to grind a bit.
The worst thing about this game is the RNG damage. A battle can be easy or hard if the RNG god is in your favor

its a shortened term for "random number generation". the game is rolling a die on a formula in the background determining how much damage you or something would do. it takes all stats and boosts into account, then rolls said die.@@realmiltonbradley8365
or in some cases, it rolls the die first, then adds all your stats and boosts. it comes down to the developers design it.
@@realmiltonbradley8365 it means you can do 50 dmg or 200 dmg. So sometimes even if the enemy is weak to a certain attack/element instead of 50 to 200 it would be 100 to 250. SO sometimes your normal attacks can do more dmg than the attacks they are weak to. Its like hoping that you get lucky and do the max damage instead of the minimum damage.
