This is funny because he was silent throughout, though he was and is the CEC of ladakh when the demand for 6th schedule and climate fast started and according to that, he should have talked with Mr. Sonam Wangchuk or Apex and KDA if he had any concern for the safeguard. Okay the video (kuch log anshan ka drama kar rahe hain) was a year old but weren't the rights and demands same? Wasn't the person (Sonam Wangchuk) same? Weren't the topic and agendas same? So how only the time frame can change your mind? First, he is considering protestors as a group of genuinely concerned people, though he had termed those chained protests as DRAMA. Second, he is assuring a regressive reading and consultation with different stakeholders to bring out a better solution for post-UT disasters. Yet he was the CEC when the opposition party's bill was repudiated and the BJP, under his leadership passed a separate bill demanding some 'constitutional safeguard' which they argued were based on further research into the pros and cons of 6th schedule. What is the need of furthet research and consultation when BJP has frim belief in 'constitutional safeguard'. Third, the protesters were then also protesting against the centralisation of Ladakh and its repercussions which was called a drama by this man. Then, he is showing interest in meeting Apex and KDA. This seems solely a political move as BJP and KDA-ABL are on different pages. Then, replacement of JTN with him seems nothing more than making JTN, the failed face of BJP, a 'bali ka bakra'. Last, his emphasis on the 4 point agenda and the BJP's inability to promise the 6th schedule because of the code of conduct shows the intensity of Ladakhi people's fierce criticism of BJP's failure in fulfilling their promises to grant 6th schedule in previous elections.
