Who did they play? Some unknown Conference league team, awful Genoa, and Torino (who aren't terrible, but dominated them and should have won)

@The Italian Monkeynever say never. right now they are probably where they should be, and Atalanta is stronger. however consider they have lost at lest 4 points because of some very dubious referee decision (against lazio and juventus especially). Let’s say Spinazzola comes back in 1 or 2 months, and 1 very aimed acquisition for the midfield in the January transfer market. and in the end the difference with Atalanta will be not so big after all. but if spinazzola will only be available in March and nobody will be bought in january, we might as well finish 7th.

Zaniolo and Abaraham are just started playing together up top and they are looking very dangerous in this system... I'm sure Pinto and Jose will look to bring few players in January mainly in midfield Jose wants more physical players in there someone like douglas Luiz or Zakaria or maybe both... Roma had close games with Napoli and Milan 2 teams at the top atm... Roma has quality only needs more depth in the team

Abraham is always awkward. He has no power, but he always scoring. People hate him but in the end he always scoring consistently. People will always underestimate him but he will still scoring. He is underrate player.

The only problem I see with Roma is that a couple of their defenders seem a bit off when it comes to quality, watched the whole game and a few too many mistakes. You can´t argue with clean sheets and it´s improving, it´s not all rose red though.

Despite all efforts of the referees & VAR team , Roma still won. VAR taking 5mins (!!) deliberating on a non-existent millimetric offside; all while Zaniolo was fouled over 22 times yet the opponents never sanctioned ....come on FIGC get your act together already; I though Calciopoli was over.
to me it was ridiculous 5 minutes check referee and VAR because of Jose in charge

Come back to planet Earth. Roma are the most favored team by the refs. Offside is offside, or did you miss their "friendly" VAR offside calls early in the season? Plus, Zaniolo is a notorious diver, so nobody is buying his BS.

As usual I’ll speak stats by comparing fi fransecos 2020 Roma 2nd spell vs Mourinhos 2021 ongoing project. After 14 serie a games: 27pts vs 25pts 31 goals scored vs 24 goals 24 goals conceded vs 15 goals I believe Roma dropped 8 soft points and should be takeaway second in the league but so far they are doing fairly well under mourinho. Trust in Jose!
