  • Each group of the J-Settes performed well, but I am especially impressed by those Worthy Girls! It’s been 15 years since Jasma danced on the field and she’s had 3 children! Shanketta’s baby is just a year old and she’s out there dancing like it’s 2009 again. And that darn CHARLOTTE! She literally just had a baby like two months ago! HOWWW is she out there dancing like that?? That J-Sette muscle memory is no joke! And let’s not forget about the early 2000s Settes out there eating it up! Nikela, Krystal, et al. We see you, ladies! 💙💙

    • Afrachanna has a 2,year old and she’s in her 40’s. All of these women served well as 2 year captains and they STILL GOT IT! Aging BEAUTIFULLY & GRACEFULLY! I can’t believe we finally get to see Ketta and Charlotte on the field again. I wanna 😭👏🏾🙌🏾!

  • Man! This whole homecoming show brought tears to my eyes! The Sonic Boom of The South and The Prancing J-Settes have been such a force in the Memphis Marching band community for decades! S/o to the first Prancing J-Sette I ever personally knew, Miss Teressa Tate. Then on to the dancing diamond of South Memphis, my dance sister, Jasma. S/o to the 03 and 04, line of J-Settes. I remember homecoming 2007, I ran up to Socky after the game and gave her the biggest hug ever! The memories! S/o to Shanketta and 7 D.A.H - My babies Brit (another south Memphis vet) Zan, Mae, “Yarlette” and “Yarlene” lol, Miss Ash, Tam, Sweet Tee, Ranisha, LaTausha, Amber, Val from 08, all my babies that I know and love personally - happy 50th! “you can’t hang w/da blue & white capes” ✨💙
