  • OMG!! 25 years ago I use to take my jet ski to that spot. Some weekends I'd nearly have the place to myself.

  • Surfed here a bit in the early 90's, you'd be lucky to see 5 boats and 30 ppl

  • I surf my lazyboy these days but looking at those peaks rolling in still gives me the feel of seeing an on coming set…😁

  • Somehow crossing a piece of water to get to the beach improves everyone's behaviour (ok odd chandelier causation), welcome respite from the main drag

    • That stood out to me too!!! Remarkable etiquette considering the crowds and the quality of waves!

  • Fondest memories discovering this place for the first time in 1995 on my trip from so cal to Aus. We paddled over (didnt know they had a ferrie) in sharky waters and surfed our brains out. 4 hours and 80 barrels later (conditions were similar to this vid) I longed for that beach break again. Closest thing we have to that is Blacks in San Diego or maybe Newport on a really good day.

  • Nothing against Raw Surfing. But looking at this vid and another late vid of Snapper/Rainbow you can see why there is shortage people for jobs.
