    • I kinda hate how goofy they went with GvK even if by a bit as a whole but nothing in that movie feels like this entrance or Godzilla's entrance in 2014. Someone edited Mech waking up with Ghidorahs yellow glow and having memories pass in before taking over control and blasting out of the mountain/facility and it was what it should have been. The goofy stuff has to make sense without human narration of it and it easily can. This tone with the axe being found WOULD be scary though lol

  • This is one of the best establishing scenes for a movie monster that I’ve ever seen. The tree, the uncertainty of if the guy spinning in the helicopter is gonna survive or not, the helicopter being almost like our lense into just how massive Kong is, and the mirage-esk reveal is just perfect.

    • Because one they are helicopters, not attack aircraft. Second they are firing mainly infantry weapons and unguided rockets, they had to gte close in order to hit Kong. Other wide they just waste their amunitions.

  • Kong is my favorite character of all time. He’s never started any of the fights, always been dragged into them by other people’s bullshit. He just wants to be left alone, or maybe find a chick Kong, if not the chick he’s always after in the movies. I guess he wouldn’t mind some company, just not army helicopters, 😂

    • Tragic part is that he doesn’t want to be left alone. He’s a familial creature and for one to be on their own with no company, it is enough to drive them insane. Being the last of his kind is like being in solitary confinement for a human. That’s the point of why Kong is such a heartbreaking character.

  • Looking back at this scene, I love this is the first time Randa has seen a Titan. But he saw the Ion Dragon nesting around the Lawton in 1953 and he was present when they nuked Godzilla back in 1954 as shown in Legacy of Monsters.
