@@krulak292it's pretty useful if your smp is a buncha shmucks and the fun is in killing each other (my friend group) so u don't wanna go back to square one every time you stub your toe You're 100% right though it is pretty stale. Getting diamond stuff through villagers is so sanitized of any challenge. I stretched out my personal survival world for a long while before I even took on the ender dragon to make a foundation for my base and not be like "now what". It's more fun to take it slow
@@jaxmc3547yeah my friend group is a bunch of slow builders, but me and two other people are heavy pvpers, we decided to make a trading hub, and have that be a no kill zone to give each other a chance to rebound and get our stuff back its definitely helpful having some basic Prot2 diamond armor to travel thousands of blocks

I think all I would add to this is that for servers similar to lifesteal, where theres teams and base griefing and bigger consequenses to being killed. I think at first you find a huge cave and get full iron, then you find a village at least like 5000 blocks out from 0 0 Edit: if theres like an hour or more grace period then with some practice you'll be fine. also, hide the villagers underground
I completely agree. This video was designed for normal survival and hardcore worlds, not really servers. But I just did this strategy on a server with my friends, and I did find a village about 1000 and a bit blocks from spawn, and I did make the villagers underground as well as the string duper :)
Alternatively you could theoretically construct a nether portal early on within a world to travel 8 times faster to reach further coordinates in a shorter time.
@@AngelicGauge That is true, but that means that you could miss any close villages, so if you are not on a server but just playing for yourself you should travel on foot.

I found out that the best trades are located in a desert vilage, since cartographers accept glass panes for emeralds, this means that if you mine like 20 stacks of sand youll get over 70 stacks of panes and this can also get you 10 stacks of emeralds!

I would honestly recommend not playing like this. The best part about Minecraft is getting your first log, getting your first set of stone tools, axe and pickaxe. Then going mining for iron, and coal. finding your first diamond and building a home. Overtime you get really OP not in the first hour

that string duper villager trick is so helpful for my hardcore world im full neth and my base is good but im really low on spare loot so this helps me out a ton to get emeralds and enchantment books
you can make a raid farm you get like over a stack of emeralds each raid its super worth it

@@LordVikron42 hey if it isnt a problem how does the string duper work? i have done many times in survival and creative to make it, facing in multiple directions yet it doesn't work edit: i found a way to make it work, i just had to switch off of forge
I am really glad that you found a way to make it work. Great job experimenting. I think that facing South helps, but im not sure. This is the tutorial that I used to learn how to make one. This tutorial is great because it helps you understand a bit of the theory behind the glitch so that you can time it correctly. kzhead.info/sun/l5WCectom5Zrl3k/bejne.html I will hopefully upload my own string duper tutorial next weekend, but until then that video should help you to get the hang of it. My tip is to wait a lot later than you think to time the lever flicking. Also don't be discouraged if you don't get it even after heaps of tries, that happened to me as well. But after a bit of practise it suddenly clicked and I could do it almost every time now! Good luck! If you have any more questions just ask :)

Thanks, it really does make getting started so much easier. The next thing I would do to progress this world is make an Iron farm as well, but the shipwrecks at the start get you a nice decent amount :)
3:33 After doing one trade you can just click the spacebar and it automatically puts the strings (or other trading stuff) in the slot! (It always uses the last trade if you still have the resources)

I use the exact same thing what he said in the whole video for like 2 years, and im seeing this video now :D, the only thing i doo different is mine wood and get a lot of fences and break the beds of the villages, place inside the fences, wait for night and villagers are in and u also have a lot of space while trading Edit: Quick tip: if the string duper does not work, try in different directions. For example if it does not work while facing north, try east. It has happened with me serveral times Edit 2: You can make fletchers and level them up to get the string trade from them too.

Fletchers buy string for 14 string per emerald so it’s lower than the fishermen. But I guess it doesn’t matter that much when you have a string duper. Nice vid! I made a string duper a few weeks ago and did the same thing with fletchers and got stacked really fast
Great Job!!! Yeah I do know about the fletcher but it is a lot slower to get them because it is their 4th trade or something.

Pro Tip: place a trapdoor above the villager’s work bench so that he’s slightly taller than the ground which prevents zombies from killing him as well as other villagers from entering.

Regarding the string duper, i think its personal taste. If you dont want a string duper in your world, then thats fine, and always follow the rules of the server, but as for my worlds and servers i have the rules of "remember the human" and "respect others time". Duping of any kind is fine and im even working on making my own hack mod for fabric, which is proving quite difficult because i dont know enough java to do much more than copy paste but i also know enough to know that other hacks like wurst or meteor dont do things the way i want to

Pro Tip: use hoppers and make them connected to a chest, then build a farm on top of the other string farm and do it 2 times for more string.

Do you know an alternative to the string duper? I'd rather not dupe for my own singleplayer worlds and for if it gets patched one day. I'd say maybe bamboo and fletchers may be a good alternative? Jungles can be rare but bamboo can be found in shipwrecks I believe. It might not be as good as the string duper but at least it's legit. Sugarcane and other farms are good too IMO but I think it might be too slow for 1 hour. Do you have any suggestions for alternatives for the string duper?
I completely understand what you mean. I would recommend either mining clay from rivers and using that to get lots of easy emeralds fast, or making an Iron farm and using it to get heaps of Iron to trade with villagers as well. The Iron farm tutorial is in my channel create the 1 minute Iron farm because it is very early game. Good luck getting stacked quickly in a legit way! Respect :)
@@LordVikron42 So before you commented this, I had already went ahead and tried doing this same thing without a string duper by using bamboo. I failed getting to where you were in 1 hour, so I went for 10 in-game days instead. In 2.00 hours I got to where you were, with a small wheat and animal farm on top, so I'd say that it was pretty successful. To compare how much faster it would be with the string duper, I did the same thing again but instead of having a bamboo farm I made a string duper. I once again failed getting to where you were in 1 hour because I kept getting stuck at a trade where the armor/tool/weapon villagers were only buying iron and selling an overpriced bell. The fishers were also increasing the string price so much that I had to build a second string duper. Even with 5 fishers, getting past the villagers only selling bells took too long, so I ended up going for another 10 day challenge which ended at just under 2 hours to get to where you were. After reading your comment, I tried again, but this time, I made the iron farm. The Iron farm worked great and absolutely helped to get past that iron/bell bottleneck, and I was able to get where you were in the video in just 1.06 hours, as well as having an iron farm. I'd say that this was a fun challenge and I feel like I am better at the game now. I like your channel and have respect to you too! Keep up the good work :D Perhaps one day I will try again using your suggestion with the clay.

Tbh, I think that it would be better to make a small iron farm to a string farm, cuz if you use a string duper your basically just cheating you may as well just use the actual game mechanics. This is just my opinion tho
I love making Iron farms myself, and have multiple Iron farm tutorials on my channel, but the downside is that with an Iron farm you need to AFK for hours before you can get lots of emeralds. It does take much longer but I agree that it is more legit. In my main hardcore world I used an Iron farm, not a string duper.
Now it's time to get stacked with good enchants from you iron farm :D
Better title would be that getting stacked on smps cause in a world you would've killed the ender dragon gotten an elytra and op gear from cities.

3:00 you need to make a half oval sort of shape facing south or east and 3 blocks high, next make a upside down L and and trap doors facing the other side of the block and then put a block on top of one of the trapdoors and a leer on the block on the other trapdoor, next add 2 tripwires on each side for the next row and put 2 string on them, Your ready to go now you get shears and quickly break the string and flick the lever

In my hardcore world when i started i had used seedmap app and just went to as many buried treasures as i could around spawn, went to a village, got enchants, found a humongous cave and got diamonds, since i already had iron from the buried chests, found a lava pool went to nether made a hoglin farm for food, iron farm after that, then a raid farm, and i got emeralds by getting sticks and giving it to fletchers, i then beat the dragon, got elytras, went home and i am now trying to drain a ocean monument, i was thinking about making a new hardcore world because it got boring, and i will probably use the string srtategie in this video in that, it is a lot better than getting a lot of sticks.
