Secondly, your understanding about ESOP is laughable. ESOP isn't an obligation that every company has to fulfill. It depends upon the decision of BOD. Further, there are concepts called 'Vesting Conditions' and 'Vesting Period'. You cannot just decide to grant options the day you like. Hope I made it clear.

Yes, you missed everything. Yes, it's an advantage to belong to LGBTQ+ as people who belong to that community will connect with her. Straight people like me and you won't connect with this community, and even as a face and for speech, you need people like her. And secondly, she is saying she is an employee and she handles social media and all, and this product is more about marketing and connecting people. As she is an early employee and a core team member, she deserves the equity like ESOP. I'm not sure about other types of equity, but she deserves the ESOP for sure. And my second point is that she is adding value to this hunt. Anupam connected with her because she is the only core member who understands LGBTQ+ challenges, and the face of every product gets equity; otherwise, no one will give a shit about Stars and all for advertising and giving them shareholding just to connect with them without doing any work, and here she is also working as at this point, it is just a bootstrap company with basic tech and an app that you can build in just 2-3 months, but to make this bigger, an app is not the only thing; it's more about the moment. P.S.: Even though I don't support LGBTQ, I'm unbiased when it comes to giving equity to a person like her for this moment.
