  • The thing i love about pac-ket- ta (paqueta)is when he was linked to city he had his agent send a message to the fans and team saying "he happy at west ham but wouldnt turn down a move to city and if the move didnt happen he wouldnt try to force a move or play differently. And when a news artical tryed to say he was unhappy at west ham he was the first to reply "fake news" on twitter. Amazing player and a professional through and through. 🇧🇷

  • No player is too good for their clubs in the prem. This kind of nonsense is only put forward by those who believe the cartel of the top 6 elite clubs should never be challenged. The way teams like West Ham, A Villa etc can break the mould is by keeping their discoveries and continuing to improve by adding to, not replacing them

  • I don’t know if he’s “too good” for West Ham but he’s certainly good enough to be starting for a club that is in the champions league. The reality is that if he didn’t have charges hanging over his head he likely would’ve ended up at City this summer.

  • I've agreed with 99% of Darren Bent over the years but this idea of Paqueta not playing for the arsenal ? Paqueta is better than Havertz & Partey can't play 30 games a season , while Paqueta can.

    • Totally. But the old nostalgic Sky SportS Six teams still think they are above everyone else, but in reality the money that has swamped the game has shifted the balance of power. Just look at Newcastle, Villa, Brighton as well as West Ham. How long can these teams trade on history when you have teams like forest, Leeds etc who also have big legacies. The only thing stopping the changing of the guard is corruption.

  • Last season he wasn't exactly a world beater, but as the season went on, it got clearer by the day why we paid all that money. This season, he looks confident, and ready. I Remember his assist against Luton (which was of course a great pass), and everyone was going mental about him. I thought he played well, and was impressed with his ability to pick a pass like that to open up a game, but I wasn't blown away. It was more so the man city game, even though we lost, that highlighted his ability for me. To hold his own against that calibre of player showed me the level he could clearly play at. Provided the allegations are out the way, he'll be at City, or somewhere else that level next summer, or maybe even Jan. Its just nice that he remained professional when it didn't go his way. So for now we can enjoy what we're seeing, and the goodbye shouldn't turn bitter. I think West Ham fans will appreciate that after the Payet saga, which felt very bleak at the time, even though ultimately he just wanted to return to where he felt was home in Marseille, and he wasn't just throwing a strop cos he couldn't move to a bigger club.

  • Paqueta was West Ham's best player in that final, he was the only midfielder that was competing vs Fiorentina's midfield. Rice & the other midfielders were ghosts & didn't offer something to tip the scales of the game, they were getting passed around. I think Paqueta is saving Moyes job for 2 seasons now, he's a dull & boring manager but Paqueta gives life & entertainment to that team. Now Kudus & few others, West Ham can get a better league standing than Man U.

    • Nonsense. Moyes got 6th and 7th in successive seasons after saving West Ham from relegation when he first came in and also got them to a Europa League semi-final in their first European competition for decades all without Paqueta. The season Paqueta joined he was pretty awful for two thirds of it and only started perfuming well in March onwards
