thanks for this review... i was thinking of replacing my spin 5 with this but no backlight alone is a deal breaker for me given its a pricey
You should review the 5 spin, it's way cheaper for an i5 256gb and 8gb ram plus backlighting at $629 it's touchscreen and 360 degree convertible, but has a plastic feel to it
Do a review on Acer Spin 3! It a 15 inch laptop and it has a insane specs for its price.
comparing a fanless laptop to a macbook pro ?
If the screen hinge is that flimsy when new, should I worry about it loosening even more? I can live with most of the negatives mentioned in this video, but that would really suck if I can't even keep the screen up straight while working.
dookdawg214 why would they design it like that
Does this run Windows 10?
Oh wow. No backlit on Keyboard. What a shame! I would have bought this.
God damn it!!!! Can someone start by saying the cons first for once? geez!!
it's $799. that's cheap for an Ultrabook. bad review
Hey Leo. You may be thinking of the Acer Spin 5 (which is around $700) - but in the US the Spin 7 is $1,249 :)
TrustedReviews it's the Acer SP714. 14" Spin 2-1 laptop. $799 at Costco. an i7, 8GB ram, 256GB SSD. I'm in the US
Leo Lion did u buy this laptop ? And if u did is it normal to become hot to the touch right under the acer logo? Like...almost burning me on idle
Yahya T. yes it's hot to touch when playing games or video editing. it's near the monitor screen. so it won't bother you if your typing, etc. it's mainly because it has no vents like normal laptops. which is why it's super thin and light.
At a certain point he even compared it to a Macbook Pro A device that costs almost twice as much (base model) At that moment you know it's not a reviewer but typical KZheadr that needs makes videos and uses "the review part" as an excuse. Also look closely at the overproduced video. (Time spend probably: 90% video production / 10% review)
i got this for $200 new
Where
@@jessiemeI live in the UK so I got it from Currys pc world
a joke laptop for over $1,100.00! - no usb 3.0 - no full sized hdmi - no backlit keyboard - only 2 usb c, then you have to tethered products to it. prone to go bad quickly - 256gssd is useless. - no 4k for this price - processor is a joke - good by redbox
angelisone What size SSD should I go for? I'm looking to buy a laptop for college. I want a powerful productivity machine.
Your choices: It would be cheaper if you buy a 256G SSD and put it in yourself. www.amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-75E250B-AM/dp/B00OAJ412U/ref=pd_lpo_147_bs_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=VXF6XQX9BX6PEGW0DE9S Buy a laptop with I7 (faster) or I5 (medium) that has USB3.0 Socket, then buy external SSD or HD then placed SSD/HD into this www.amazon.com/Tool-free-Inateck-External-Enclosure-FE2004/dp/B00JQTO8TU/ref=pd_lpo_147_bs_tr_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=VW45V3WMZDP8K2K3FW1K Since this has USB3.0 Cable, you connect to laptop's USB3.0 socket, now take this external with you & use it on any computer. You can speed up your old laptop by buying 7200rpm HD(take out old HD & install 7200rpm) and buy more RAM. It is not hard to install these parts in. So don't pay anyone when you can do it yourself.
The processor is not a joke... Its the most powerful fan-less CPU... There is a niche for this laptop.
I just bought this for $699.97 at Costco
Got fooled, it's only 256GSSD. It will be great for your children to search and watch KZhead. Try loading it up with real working software and use it. Then reply back & let up know. Non user battery replacement. So plug it in log will kill the battery. Think cell phones, companies have done them on purpose so we have to buy after 1.65 years.
