    • @k o a l That's not what I said at all. 🤨 Conrad and his family shouldn't be exploited just so people can make money off of his story of the tragic way he died. And do you know these people personally? How would you know his parents are to blame? This girl knew he was planning to commit suicide, and instead of telling his family, her parents, or the authorities, she encouraged him and pushed him to go through with it. Did his family do that? No. She had a very heavy hand in this tragedy, regardless of what you might ignorantly think.

    • And this is an awful attitude to have, just by watching the documentary you can tell she is a complete mess. Conrad was also a complete mess, had a father admitting to beating him up and saying it was right and he would do it again, a mother who denies ever knowing he was feeling suicidal eventhough he had tried 4 times before with 1 of them putting him in hospital. There isn’t even any evidence that she ever told him to get back in the car, it was never written in a text and the calls aren’t recorded, after 2 months she claimed she told him to get back in, this is a girl so out of touch with reality that she had been contradicting herself constantly and now suddenly what she says has gotta be true. The fact is that Conrad wanted to die, he convinced her that nothing would ever get better and this would be best for him, he made her believe his mum was on board with it, he manipulated her into supporting him and made her swear to never tell anyone, if he never met her he would still be dead today because clearly his parents weren’t gonna get him the help he needed. This girl wasn’t living in reality at all, she wanted desperately to help him and he manipulated her into believing this was the best way. The only things at blame here is mental illness and Conrad’s parents.

Even Conrad at some point suggesting HER to commit suicide as well. And thats aside from constantly talking down to her. Sometimes giving the monster a chance to 'explain' to us why we're no different and what their motivations were opens a door into their psyche. Not for just entertainment, but to educate and inform. Go back 100 years and see how unlikely it would be for an average member of the American public to believe a young white girl would do this successfully. Hulu is dropping some great originals lately and upping the game of mid scale actresses whose Oscar-worthy talented but that’s been awaiting that one perfect role to shoot them to a whole new level of achievements. Pam & Tommy did this for both Lily James & Sebastian Stan. The Dropout is launching the amazing Amanda Seyfried to a new level of worthy roles in the future. And currently, Life & Beth is giving Amy Schumer a massive outlet to showcase what she’s capable of beyond comedy and standup as it’s not only giving us some more dramatic portrayals but she is behind the creation of the show itself and executive produces as well as writes for it. This is what makes Hulu originals amazing. They found a specific area to go in to be different from the pack of streaming services creating their own originals. Hulu is finding those greats who have yet to prove that and it’s working wonderfully.

They BOTH struggled with mental illness and were toxic for each other and Conrad was also extremely manipulative at times. He deserved much more help than he got, but she needed help too. He struggled for years with depression and attempted several times before he met Michelle. He told her over and over again that he wanted to die and needed someone to make him go through with it. She tried to talk him out of it at first but he would say things like "if you really love me you won't let me chicken out, this is the only way for me to be happy" and I think she became convinced that encouraging him to end his life was good and right and even romantic, which is obviously very twisted, but again, she was not in a healthy state of mind either.

  • I wish they would make a movie only about the victim, before it happened, and how happy and normal their life was and how it could be, and completely ignore these criminals, instead of making a movie where THEY are the main character. They don't deserve the attention!

    • Did you even watch the trailer? It's about both of them and both families.
