Lyrics:
Dead Love couldn't go no further
Proud of and disgusted by her
Push shove, a little bruised and battered
Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you
My life's a bit more colder
Dead wife is what I told her
Brass knife sinks into my shoulder
Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do
I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed, queen bee
My squeeze
The stage it smells, tells, hell's bells, miss-spells
Knocks me on my knees
It didn't hurt, flirt, blood squirt, stuffed shirt
Hang me on a tree
After I count down, three rounds, in hell I'll be in good company
Dead Love couldn't go no further
Proud of and disgusted by her
Push shove, a little bruised and battered
Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you
My life's a bit more colder
Dead wife is what I told her
Brass knife sinks into my shoulder
Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do
I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed, queen bee

This is the last song my husband learned to play before he passed. It filled many hours of his last days. He enjoyed the song immensely. Thank you
I’m seeing these guys in concert this weekend in Norfolk. I shall raise my glass to your husband’s memory.
You may not be able to see him, but he will always be at your side. Sorry for your loss
What did he play it on? Banjo? Bass?
He had good taste ❤️
So sorry for your loss ❤ big hugs from a neighbour to the north.
The first time I heard this song I became an instant fan. The vocals on this song are magic.
First time I heard this song I liked their vocals they are magical, when I sing a good one a energy from my feet straight out of my head goes through me there is a energy a magic in music. I also play guitar and if you can sing and play it's a different energy. I played rock or tryed then played with a friend who only plays country and I can hit every note playing lead against him it's magic because I never studied country but can play it perfectly. I figured out how I remember my dad only played country in his car and I can remember the notes from memory especially Hank Williams sr it's funny. Peace
Me too. Just found them.

This absolute mad lad is really out here playing a cello like a guitar.
What an ABSOLUTE MADLAD!!!
what a madlad... in the music industry it's called pizzicato and it's been a way of playing for a long long time. They even do this with violins and all kinds of stringed instruments. Impressive and great sounding playingstyle nevertheless A little wikipedia citing: "The first recognised use of pizzicato in classical music is found in Tobias Hume's Captain Humes Poeticall Musicke (1607), wherein he instructs the viola da gamba player to use pizzicato ('thumpe')."
It’s a bass when you play it like that. Every single bluegrass band in the South worth a damn has one. This tune could use a little fiddle, not a violin.
But.. that's not a cello

Great feeling
Been out for a while check out there other music and if u like twang and funny check out, “the cleverlys”
My father who is 75 years old has been part of a rock/folk/blues band in Bourgogne, France for about 10 years now: he plays guitar, but there are bass, banjo, etc... They use the Marshall amp I offered to my dad 7-8 years ago to get the bass stronger otherwise it is hidden by too many guitars... I showed him this song last year when he came to visit me in South of Spain and he definitively decided to include this masterclass into their list of tracks they will play when they perform... I´m curious to listen to the outcome of their coverage of this song but they are quite talented so that should be nice. Anyway, even though I'm not fan of folk music which is their main influence, I like the 2-3 blues they play and maybe now that new song, but most important is to find such hobby with enough local musicians at 70 years old when music is one of your main passion in life! He used to be a fan of the Rolling Stones and other rock bands from 60's/70's, he's now the main guitar of his own rock band, I'm happy for him, and it's crazy but it works well, they have frequent requests for playing in different events in Bourgogne/Franche-Comté... that's fun and reassuring for his retirement
Captivated here; now… enthralled at their concert 🌠🎇🎆 Talent, discipline, storytelling, showmanship; I’m still running on the high from their performance ❤ Keep doing it boys.
So much texture in this dude’s voice.
I feel like his voice has so many layers that I’ve been buried
Which one??
This is one of those songs you hear one time and think “nah I don’t think that’s for me” but find yourself searching for it the next day
Precisely how it went down with me
Undoubtably
no sir, clearly you've never heard Mischief Brew or Larry and His Flask.
Or Catching Fireflies by the Revivalists. Heard it once and didn’t like it, came back to it intrigued, and now it’s grown on me
@@aurograce2983 check out Gallows Bound.
One of these songs that makes you smile, and as it goes along the smile turns into a grin. Sweet song
This is such a great song. The rythm just lifts my spirits while the lyics are just awesome.
Can we stop to appreciate the fact he is holding that cello like a guitar... Those things are heavy man...
Anne C Hey, at least it’s not an upright bass... using a cello like he’s doing it is kinda cool tbh.
He has strap 😜
I was going to say the exact same thing, he has a strap. Plus they aren't that that heavy, I have held some basses made of resin that are normal looking but really heavy. Heavier than a baby cello.
Hahaha. U guys..."He has a strap. " 😂😂😂
GreenDrank82 you held them like guitar? "Baby" chello still has 3 kilos (or 10 pounds) that is not that easy to have with strap on for longer period of time
Positively some of the best finger snapping ever incorporated into a song...only heard this song 5000 times, and it's still just as good as it was the first time....great job!
Just missing death and destruction, thank the lord for Wisdom & Understanding
I was a shite finger snapper until I has watched this vid about 50 times. Now, at least, i can do it not terribly. I'll keep watching and practicing...
@@jackmack1061 whistle

Marián Kohút I've been watching too for 3 days in a arrow

''Tis quite cheerful!
Marián Kohút I've been watching it about 3 times a day, ughhhh
This song pulls u in..like an addiction...it should be longer and more stories.
Love going down a rabbit hole. I stumbled upon this little gem!
These are the type of bands that you want to keep secret but every time you’re with friends or at a party, you can’t wait to put this on!
🤣 👍
Why would you want to keep it a secret?
@@ahis3233 to be cooler than your friends! Lol
I love how simple this music video is. Because with its simplicity, it’s by far and away better than most other music videos with much more monetary production value.
they dance in the water
Editing cost a fortune, plus green screen CGI
No green screen
Amazing forever! Thank you!
