Lyrics:
Dead Love couldn't go no further
Proud of and disgusted by her
Push shove, a little bruised and battered
Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you
My life's a bit more colder
Dead wife is what I told her
Brass knife sinks into my shoulder
Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do
I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed, queen bee
My squeeze
The stage it smells, tells, hell's bells, miss-spells
Knocks me on my knees
It didn't hurt, flirt, blood squirt, stuffed shirt
Hang me on a tree
After I count down, three rounds, in hell I'll be in good company
Dead Love couldn't go no further
Proud of and disgusted by her
Push shove, a little bruised and battered
Oh Lord I ain't coming home with you
My life's a bit more colder
Dead wife is what I told her
Brass knife sinks into my shoulder
Oh babe don't know what I'm gonna do
I see my red head, messed bed, tear shed, queen bee
My squeeze
The stage it smells, tells, hell's bells, misspells
Knocks me on my knees
It didn't hurt, flirt, blood squirt, stuffed shirt
Hang me on a tree
After I count down, three rounds, in hell I'll be in good company
In hell I'll be in Good Company

    • First time I heard this song I liked their vocals they are magical, when I sing a good one a energy from my feet straight out of my head goes through me there is a energy a magic in music. I also play guitar and if you can sing and play it's a different energy. I played rock or tryed then played with a friend who only plays country and I can hit every note playing lead against him it's magic because I never studied country but can play it perfectly. I figured out how I remember my dad only played country in his car and I can remember the notes from memory especially Hank Williams sr it's funny. Peace

Impressive and great sounding playingstyle nevertheless A little wikipedia citing: "The first recognised use of pizzicato in classical music is found in Tobias Hume's Captain Humes Poeticall Musicke (1607), wherein he instructs the viola da gamba player to use pizzicato ('thumpe')."

Not really a matter as they serve mostly the same role in an orchestra. @kosherlevi It is not that uncommon to pluck chellos or stand up basses, you see it often in orchestras.

It threw me for a loop, and tears. He's been gone now nearly five years, and your song is pretty much his attitude. If he was going to hell like everyone kept telling him all his life, he would be in good company, so he had no worries. He didn't want to go and would fight every step of the way. Living a long life the happiest he could was the revenge he could get on all his enemies. Best advice I ever got.

  • My father who is 75 years old has been part of a rock/folk/blues band in Bourgogne, France for about 10 years now: he plays guitar, but there are bass, banjo, etc... They use the Marshall amp I offered to my dad 7-8 years ago to get the bass stronger otherwise it is hidden by too many guitars... I showed him this song last year when he came to visit me in South of Spain and he definitively decided to include this masterclass into their list of tracks they will play when they perform... I´m curious to listen to the outcome of their coverage of this song but they are quite talented so that should be nice. Anyway, even though I'm not fan of folk music which is their main influence, I like the 2-3 blues they play and maybe now that new song, but most important is to find such hobby with enough local musicians at 70 years old when music is one of your main passion in life! He used to be a fan of the Rolling Stones and other rock bands from 60's/70's, he's now the main guitar of his own rock band, I'm happy for him, and it's crazy but it works well, they have frequent requests for playing in different events in Bourgogne/Franche-Comté... that's fun and reassuring for his retirement
