  • Just put the clipping mask directly on the layer you’re trying to insert in. It’s pretty simple.

    • But with the smart object you can easily replace the image with something else, and any modifications you make to the smart object will be already there, like layer styles and such.

    • its actually the idea of a mockup where you can change the image whenever you want and all the layer styles and effect remain intact and need not be done time and again

    • Nah, make a folder and put the mask on it, then you can put images and smart objects in the folder for any future changes, its much more organized this way

  • Bruh just use magic wand on the white sheet, select inverse, click copy layer, get image, paste, alt click layer below, resize image. Done.

    • It is definitely one of the methods that can be used. But this method ensures that the jagged edges caused due to magic wand doesn't occur (By controlling the fuzzinesss levels).

  • It took me six views to figure out what was bothering me. The shadows from the blades of grass are different from the broadleaves. Since you already selected the canvas and it is white, you can copy-paste it to it's own level, turn THAT into multiply, and it will simply cast the shadows without the other steps.
