She faked her age actually, she said she was 15. Because of that Eurovision had to state explicitly in the ESC's rules that no performer under the age of 16 might perform on stage in the contest.

This is one of my favorite winning songs from this legendary competition! Sandra still holds the record as the youngest person to win the Eurovision Song Contest! Because a few years after this, they changed the rules saying that participants have to be at least 16 years or older to compete in the competition!

When you think that young Sandra Kim went out and completely nailed this vocal which has a wide vocal range in a live performance . These days at Eurovision some of the contestants are only good in the studio. When they come to sing at the contest despite all the tracks etc they are a disappointment. Sandra went on to have a career as an adult too. She has a great voice.

This is one of my favorite winning songs from this legendary competition! Sandra still holds the record as the youngest person to win the Eurovision Song Contest! Because a few years after this, they changed the rules saying that participants have to be at least 16 years or older to compete in the competition!
Fun fact: she wasn't the reason they made that rule (she actually lied her way through and they thought she was 16) but the actuall reason was the French 11 year entry (lol) in 1989

When you think that young Sandra Kim went out and completely nailed this vocal which has a wide vocal range in a live performance . These days at Eurovision some of the contestants are only good in the studio. When they come to sing at the contest despite all the tracks etc they are a disappointment. Sandra went on to have a career as an adult too. She has a great voice.
