I went home and away to every game that season. Never believed that I would ever see us win a title . I was 44-45 then. Now in my 60s and it all seems like a lifetime ago. Such happy memories. My first time going was in 1968. Since then you could count on one hand the number of home games I've missed. Always lived less than a 5 minute walk from the Bridge on the King's Road. So yeah, I do support my local team. Roman, thank you. You'll forever have my gratitude.
@black johnBlack John my friend, the one thing more than anything in the past 60+ years that I have learned is that you just never know what's going to happen next.
True blue coming from a United fan
@@balaaga_5565 Appreciated my United friend. Always nice to hear from real fans.
lol im feeling old now... i was 17 then in high school, now im 35 with 2 kids and only a few players left from that season of EPL still active
@@mikal0457 I feel you brother. I say nowadays that getting old is ok when you consider the alternative lol Besides, 35 is still a pup. Wish I was 35 again but I'll settle for 3 more titles and 4 more European Cups ☠️👌🏼🤜🏻🤛🏻
25 clean sheets & 15 goals conceded. Respect.
Jose is a beast
@@nylyrical8454 how many times has he been sacked? Overrated
@@lesleystewart5882 won trophies everywhere he went. Except Spurs but they sacked him before a cup final. Silly Spuds.
1 loss.
@@lesleystewart5882 try hard..lol
Lampard what a player . he can score and assist from anywhere . he's the reason why i really love Chelsea .
Robben was such a baller for us, we shouldn't have given up on him even with all the injury problems. Legend of the game
Duff on the other wing also - they were the two best wingers in europe at the time....
@@greatestgoals2617 sadly robben foot can't handle PL aggressiveness. Same story with joe cole buy he stuck it out with us. I'm glad robben left though, he finally can play a whole season and show what a player he was. For duff, I'm sad by it. He didn't get left out, he left instead for more playtime. In one of duff interview after retiring, he said leaving Chelsea is the biggest mistake he had ever made in his life. Other player that I'm sad left us from this lineups is gudjohnsen. You can't blame him though, when barca is calling back then you had to go and play with Ronaldinho.
@@Enforcer901 Robben was in fact an injury prone player. Always. He couldn't play 4 games in a row for Real Madrid. He was about to be the best player in the world in 2014-15, but missed the final third of the season due to injury. For me, the most talented wing-forward of this century.
Ronaldinho was the best winger in the world at the time
Yes absolutely this is the best Chelsea team, even much better than the team that won UCL. Determination, fighting spirit, pace, hungry for winning, all are top notch. They are so good
Best team the prem has ever seen imo
could've won the UCL if it wasn't or a fake ghost goal was also 1 pen away from "invincibles"
The 2012 was not good let's get that straight. They got hot at the right time in the champions league and never looked back.
@@WWE2KUNIVERSEELITE won't say hot...they got extremely lucky
The team that won the league the following year was fantastic, the backbone of the team that won the CL was built from this one
damien duff is so underrated
Dude uses both foot perfectly
Yeah i came to see lampard and drogba, but i stayed for damien duff and was shocked by arjen robben
Gudjonsen was beast.. he scored goals consistently and kept Drog out for quite awhile
Yes, and King Drogba also waited his time.
He and his father are the only father and son duo that played for their country in same game....I think it was only a few games but still.
I wonder why no one is talking about him
Gudjhnsen won this league for Chelsea 😊
29W, 8D, 1L, 95points 72GF, 15GA, +57GD 25 Clean sheets What a season🔥🔥
Only one lose🎉
ManCity prevented them getting 100pts and then became the first team themselves to get 100pts in PL 😂 but ManCity more deservedly, Chelsea were lucky to finish on 95 they were just happy to win the title fullstop many narrow wins, fortunate to play ManUtd B-team first game of the season at Stamford bridge no Rooney, Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy, Keane at CB, Djemba-Djemba & Miller in midfield etc...while Chelsea had everyone of their team they'd just spent fortunes of money they didn't earn on and only nicked a 1-0. ManCity did it when there were more strong contenders and scored way more goals in the process.
This team had everything, fantastic defense, creative and powerful midfield, skillful and quick wingers, a powerful striker upfront.
Clinical finishers, too
The best defense was Lebouf and Desailly❤
I'm so impressed with the abilities of Damien Duff back in the day he was a wonderful player , Gudjohnsen and Drogba formed and instant connection imagine Hasslebaink instead of Kezman would be op. Robben played brilliantly in his first season as well.
Duff is such a beast...that guy is so fast
Arjen Robben was such a beast here, Imagine if we kept him for another decade
Its arjen mate
@@ruffledalarm5697 dude i know, I spelt it correctly then my Phone auto corrected it
I know. He's literally my favourite player. Really wish we hadn't sold him so soon :(
@@mav9428 problems is robben is got much injured so that why chelsea gonna choose another options
@@NgocNguyenMarketing the reason we couldn't won it for 3 straight years or more. We sold so many when should've kept longer. But there are also duds that we kept too long like Ben Haim, Torres, Kalou, Malauda, and nowadays Lukaku, Pulisic and more.
The beginning of liking football, the first football shirt he had, Frank Lampard the first idol player, and until now the Blues remain in my heart 💙💙💙
SUPER FRANK LAMPARD ❣️
Tenane mas wkwk
What a team. Shots, pace and aggression. Best team by a mile.
Best defensive premier league side ever This team's defence was next level
robben, cole and duff the wingers we need
l like how the forwards are just shooting outside the box we lack that in this current Chelsea team .
THE TECHNICAL ADVANCEMENT OF THE EPL TEAMS NOW MAKES IT DIFFICULT MORE THAN EVERBEFOR
The game has changed from the typical boring English football. There's more skill in the game now making the PL more interesting
There are more skill in EPL then than now.
No one has it tbh long shots have fallen out of the game. Idk why people are saying it's bc "there's more skill"? What do you think it takes to score long range goals if not skill? Football analytics (xG for example) has made managers obsessed with creating more high percentage chances, which are obviously almost all coming inside the box. One of the ways analytics has taken away from the game if you ask me.
@@J_a_s_o_n LOL you call this boring? I call the rigid tactical examples and robotic players nowadays boring.
This was peak Chelsea under Roman Abramovich and peak José Mourinho. What a way to celebrate our 100th anniversary.
The greatest Manager ever... King Jose Mourinho 🐐👑🙌
Guardiola better by light years.
I was 7 years old and this was the season I started watching football. Being in India football isn't popular back then and till now but I am glad I chosed the right sport and right team. Bleed Blue 💙
I remember in 2004 this chelsea vs AC Milan friendly match, milan won 2-3, 2 best teams in the world at that time.
They should've played each other in 2005 final in Istanbul but Luis Gacrcia and THAT "goal"... But Chelsea unfortunately had 2 games to score a single goal and wasted so many chances at Anfield
right now, the Chelsea team only lacks a midfielder of Frank’s calibre, the ability to score from distance or arrive in the box with a clear mind, to find the CF one time or shoot one time.
the defense too, much better back then
@@mikal0457 they have the best defense in london i don't they need better
Lampard is a once in a lifetime player. There will be no other like him. Most goals of any PL midfielder - up in the top of the list with strikers like Shearer.
Mason Mount is the likeliest to be the closest there ever will be to Lampard. He has age on his side too. Up the Chels! 🔵
No bruh we need a real man not these kidss
Drogba learnt a lot of moves from Eidur Gudjohnsen. Like : Gudjohnsen: Hey mate this is how it's done here to beat premier league keepers and defenders. Drogba: Ok senior.
95+ point' damn. Chelsea Is The beast Team In that Season 💪💪🔥😱🔥
These guys damn knew how to score, very technical players
I wish he could've atleast drawn the city game. Invincibles 😢 Arjen Robben was a beast 🔥💙
I was looking at him blowing up in the Euros and with PSV Eindhoven thinking - how did United miss out on him he would've been perfect for us!
Eidur Gudjonsson and Paulo Ferriera. Both massively underrated players.
Good old days.... this is what we call a Football squad, Good coach fantastic, hungry and good players.
Mourinho was ( is) the Boss. When He brought Drogda, was half way to became, the mitghty Chelsea, that is Now. 50 years, yes 50 years, waiting for that unbeliveble achivment. PS : i used to work with a die hard Chelsea fan, and i would never forget his reaction. He huged me, and started to cry. Never saw a grown man crying so much. Thats for you Gary wine. PS : i know very well the fealing, of being on the loosing side, for many, many years, and in one fantastic year, we were Again Portugal Champions. After 19 years waiting. And this after, another 18 years, crossing the desert. And iam so proud, to be a fan of SCP. Forever.
We will never see passion and dedication like this in modern football
The best team the PL have ever seen
This was such an amazing season. Really felt that a UCL trophy was gonna come but really unlucky not to have more trophies. League double always nice though.
True
Selling Gudjhonsen and Robben was a fatal mistake. I believe that if they didn't change clubs, Chelsea would have won a lot of Champions League trophies.
I always happy everytime Gudjhonsen played back then
For me biggest mistake was removing the wingers. We were insane with duff, robben cole on the wings. But from 2006 we brought in ballack and scheva. And they had to play cause of their names. And since we allready had drogba, lampard, essien and makelele then it meant benching the wingers. We started using this diamond formation with essien, makelere, lampard and ballack all on midfield and scheva drogba on topp. There was suddently no more room for wingers.
Having Eidur and Drogba with lamps and Makelele and Tiago driving midfield whilst Joe Cole Robben Duff plus the FULLBACKs Glen Johnson and Ferreira bomb forward or retreat AT WILL. I remember staring at that side and looking at anyone barring City: how is anyone gonna win against this?
Mourinho didn't like them both. I was hurt by Gudjonsen's departure, to Barcelona. Robben and his agent father didn't want to stay as they considered Real Madrid a step above Chelsea.
Robben so fragile 😅
first year of remembering the matches when I was 4 supporting my club 🥲
From GK to Forward, all players are massively reliable. Very commanding and dictating in every department. No wonder Jose said back then his squad was built with men. Not boys.
What a team. Great player, Great manager, 101% passion.
95 points was wild that time
Makelele, Carvalho, Paulo Ferreira, Terry, Robben, Essien, Lampard, Gudhjonsen, Drogba, Kezman, Joe Cole, Gallas, Chech and others.... Great Squad
I want back my Chelsea 😢
This was the greatest Chelsea team ever.. wow all players were so good wow
Such a good games, bring back good memories and good old days. I am an old man now, 48 yrs old. Time flies.
Robben and Duff were lightning down the wings! Gudjohnsen was on smoke too
superb, beast. Miss this era when we have shooter and finisher. Playing with passion, aggressive, spirit and vision. run pass and shoot the goal.
I'm watching this on Feb 2023 just to see the times when Chelsea used to win without struggle. It's hell supporting our team now😢, we're losing to mediocre teams...
Thiago was a baller that season. Always showed up with spectaculars
As a Liverpool fan I used to fear this Chelsea team a lot. Always had tough but great matches between 2004-2010 years.
You can actually see the passion to win every game 💙💙💙
Probably our best team in the Premier League era. We've won five titles, but I'd say this was probably our best one, and not just because it was our first one
The whole team, all departments were strong, thanks for mourinho
Best version of Chelsea
Lampard and gudjohnsen was fantastic.
Greatest Chelsea season ever.
Frank Lampard makes me so happy ❤❤
Gudjonson was fire🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for getting these onto yt, I have them all on dvd but always wanted to watch on the tablet like this too 💙
Just look at this team was unreal, can't our current team just learn from these past legends?
Underrated Gudjohnsen❤ Super Frank❤ another underrated player during those days overshadowed by Gerrard.
It's crazy, but how instrumental was Damien Duff in this Chelsea side, why is he not spoken about as one of the best wingers/wide Forwards in the PL??
Chelsea's greatest squad, one of the best ever assembled in the game's history. 15 goals conceded in a PL season will never be even sniffed at. Let alone equalled or beaten.
Wow what a bunch of players we had, miss them all, very emotional vid🥹❤️👌
Today is 11th of October 2023. I have come here to remind myself tghat cChelsea used to be a massive club, we got players who dont dedicate themselves when olaying for CFC today,
This team was so balanced and Duff was underrated
I still remember when England's duet midfielder Gerrard and Lampard . They're incredible
All aren't robben goal is such a beautiful one
what a great squad we had there, great memories for sure..
Thank you Roman for giving me the best teen years of my life!
This 04 05 side and the 09 10 side are best Chelsea sides. In our history, I don't see any future Chelsea side surpassing them.
Our 05/06 side was class as well
2008/09 Is the best imo Only robbery can defeat that team
We can build another fantastic team just like we did that year
@@princedavid8103 never lol
To put things in their proper context, the best team in the world was AC Milan, the only team capable of beating them was Barcelona due to Ronaldinho's magic.. This Chelsea team produced their best performance vs that Barcelona team in the last 16 which was a terrible thing coz after that they had passed what they knew was their biggest hurdle outside of AC Milan and didn't play Liverpool with the needed intensity till it was 2nd leg.. And we all know no one produces more flukes than Liverpool on a European night
Really miss this Chelsea squad, the 2023 season is so sad😢
The beauty of this team is that anybody could score.
Tell you what, we had some great players'...all the usual suspects', but Damien & Joe? Outstanding.
What a squad that was.
Another Masterclass video Up the Chels
The "Special One" is Really Special!🇵🇹❤️
I felt robbed on that December night when Henry score that freekick towards the dying minutes of the first half. That team was made of steel with great leaders.
The underrated Eidur Gudjonssen should be remembered as one of chelsea’s legends too. ❤
No one is mentioning Peter Cech and Claude Makelele. 2 indispensable players to get those kind of results. Respect

You just brought tears to my eyes...thank you.
The greatest squad ever. In the whole history of a whole club football. I've recollected my emotions and thoughts from my childhood. Thank you, Abramovich, thank you Maur, thank you all the players for unforgettable and eternal memory of this monsterous success. Always in my ❤️
We need 2005-2006 and 2009-2010 great work bro!! big fan
Ghost goal love it. Couldn't even beat a second rate liverpool side at the time. Mourinio still crying about it till this day.
I will love morinho and abramovic for ever
Hombre, que recuerdos Lampard, Terry, Makelele, Drogba, Cech, Robben, tantos cracks en el mejor Chelsea de la historia 💙.
That squad built built by the special one is one of a kind....Delightful to watch
Robben was too good 😊😊
I was 11 years old during all these. Super Frank bangers all year long. Up the fvcken Chels!
My favorite team for loving team chelsea duff and robben were super fast 💙 ahh what years that was I remember I arrived in England in 2004 my wish was to sea my favorite players in the field with my eye I surely did , Chelsea
Their conceded record will remain in records for quite some time.
This is the team that made me fall in love with chelsea 💙
The best EPL Side in history. Chelsea FC 2004/05.
David James pulled off some crazy saves for City
I love makele era and drogba,, and now era kante love it
Robben absolute baller ✨
This was the Chelsea I fell in love with
The best ever scuad Love u chelsea
Imagine if Chelsea actually brought in Crespo in 2005 instead of keeping the lazy hit or miss Gudjohnsen. They needed a world class legend in that Semi Final in 2005 vs Liverpool, andq Drogba only became the Drogba we know at Chelsea in 2007
crespo was alright at chelsea
@@mikal0457 he came a year later after spending the best season of his career at AC Milan on loan I'm 2005, when Shevchenko was injured, Crespo was so good Milan didn't even feel the absence of the best striker in Europe at that time. Had Chelsea had Crespo in the 2005 CL, the semi final vs Liverpool would've been very different
