These types of builds DO take a lot of time. HOWEVER, the sleeping areas she makes, in the right type of soil, can be done in a day or a weekend. Survivalist build small living huts, small underground rooms, and small houses out of things you find in nature, just to practice or even for fun. I belong to such a group. No, we don't build swimming pools or kitchens. We swim and bathe in creeks and lakes. We cook outside over an open fire. But we do forage and hunt for food. Of course, you have to know the native plants. You have to know what branches will hold up to rain, what trees grow and replenish quickly. Which are more flexible if you need to bend them. How are you going to secure them together. Vine, wood pegs; our group only allows 100% natural materials. Others might let you use nails or rope, I guess. But it is actually funny interesting to see what people come up with; then spend a weekend in them.
