There are approximately 6-7 skills named after her in the current code, though it's been known that she wasn't the first to perform most of them. There have also been instances where another gymnast who debuted a skill alongside her at the same meet has not been given credit. That's what they meant....

I love seeing the great olympians of my generation, Nellie Kim, Tracy Talavera, Betty Okino, etc. I mean to see the ones I loved and wanted to be just like; it’s beautiful to hear how they viewed gymnastics. But most of all. Thanks for making a beautiful positive image of these wonderful ladies who we watch all the time and wonder how they they prepare, their families and their strength, grit they use to push themselves. Not all will make the olympics, but if they choose to go to college, we get an opportunity to see them for another 4 years. • Also here's an unpopular opinion since people keep bringing this up. The people mad that there aren't more mentions or clips of Simone (which I don't disagree with) are not the target demographic for these videos. While I was surprised they didn't mention the Biles, the gymnasts interviewed who are currently competing aren't doing a Biles. At the end of the day, if people want to watch stuff about Simone or any of the others I mentioned, there are already tons of interviews and videos about just them. This isn't a documentary about the GOAT on each event, it is a collection of personal stories. There is nothing insulting about a thematic choice that doesn't affect the progression of the documentary/story whatsoever.

    • Oh & my accident wasn't because I made a mistake or took a chance or generally stuffed up. My coach was ill & I was in a training camp with other gymnasts & coaches. Set up my springboard & measured my run for my vault. I was a sprinter so had a lot of power. The coach overseeing vault practice saw how the long the distance between springboard & vault was & decided to move it closer because 'it was too dangerous'. It was my usual set up. But she didn't tell me, so I ran full speed & overshot. I can still hear the snapping in my lumbar spine. It was devastating 😞 I'm lucky I got to walk again but that was the end of my sporting career. It took a lot of years to come to terms with. But it could've been worse.
