    • Sí, "mucho" es un adverbio, no un adjetivo. Hay otras palabras, que no son adjetivos . Tiene que decir pequeño, mas pequeño y El mas pequeño con todos adjetivos.

    • Hola BrendaHey, I have discovered something that I didn’t know before. When I read articles on Yahoo, I can toggle back and forth between Spanish and English on my iPad. I am really enjoying it. People may need to go into SETTINGS and click on GENERAL, then LANGUAGE AND REGION and add ESPAÑOL to do this. I chose the Español (Latinameicano) option. When I am reading an article on Yahoo, there is a set of capital A’s (one big and one smaller) to the left in the web address box at the top of the page. When I click those, a drop down box appears. In that box I get a “Translate to Spanish” option. And when you go back to that box you can go back to “View Original” to return to English. I discovered it when I found out you can have your iPad read articles out loud for you using that drop box. But I haven’t figure out how to get it to read in Spanish yet. But I am using it a lot to work on reading Spanish. I can read one paragraph at a time and check my accuracy really easily. I only read one paragraph at a time because I find it hard to remember much more that that when toggling back and forth. Just thought you might find it worth sharing. ¡Que tengas un buen día!

  • It's always a pleasure to listen to Brenda. She has a nice voice, she speaks distinctly and slowly so that a Spanish learner can understand. Unlike common hispanohablantes who speak like they swallow all the words.

    • We speak at a normal speed which is around 9 syllables per second. Chileans can say almost 10 syllables per second. Brenda must be speaking around 6 syllables per second. English has a speed around 6-7 syllables per second.

I have been studying Spanish for about 7 or 8 months, probably advanced beginner, this may well be the best thirty minute Spanish lesson ever recorded.   • Brenda - I am so thankful for your channel and the way you teach Spanish! I recently moved to Spain from the US and I am motivated to learn the language, but being motivated does not make it easy! I study the lessons in my Pro Spanish course (which I also learned about through another good KZhead channel) but when it comes to the listening part of my learning, I have not found a better teacher!   • Hay aproximadamente 93,000 palabras en español, más o menos, según mis diccionarios. De este total, 20,000 son cognados con inglés, y pocos cientos son "amigos falsos." Pero no es necesario--efectivamente, no es posible--conocer todas, pero es importante conocer bastante para participar en conversaciones con otras personas en español.   • Amigos, yo soy nativo hispanoparlante y nosotros siempre seguimos aprendiendo nuevas palabras. No se preocupen ustedes por ver palabras que no entienden, tan solo preocúpense por seguir aprendiendo. Además lo que dice Brenda es cierto, hay muchas palabras que sabemos pero no usamos, el español tiene nucho lenguaje que es más lírico que otra cosa, mucho del español es para describir mundos que no existen en vez de para hablar de la realidad
