Word of advice be very careful buying anything from these guys. Run by complete cowboys. I had two experiences with them and nearly ended in court action second time to get refund of deposit. Father and son both complete cowboys check other reviews

There’s a RSQ8 that drives past my bus stop every morning and it is just a incredible car! It has so much presence and the front just looks epic! Not that spec but just looks so so good. Audi have nailed the design!
RSQ8 is lovely but following on from the RR I think a 110 defender on the Chelsea truck co steel wheels would be a great move. Im sure whatever you pick will be 👌🏼

I agree with you on the Range Rover ‘lag’ when you push the accelerator. It’s more of an annoyance than anything and I found it so weird when driving a new Range Rover for the first time.
The New Range Rover is going to have a twin scroll turbo now, which has helped with the turbo lag.

Lucky enough to have driven new RR 350D I found the new mild hybrid has pretty much removed the delay at junctions and roundabouts...impressive, shame you were not able to charge your RR I have had mixed driving mpg of 65 over 12000 miles

Good choice, lovely cars looks cool , prob more reliable than a range. I have an RS7 C8 same engine but 800 bhp tune. had little race with an RSq8 on the a41 the other day, of course mine left it standing with the tune, but the driver pulled up and said it sounded amazing and asked if a stage two tune. lol its nice when you meet another petrolhead on the rd.

I had a v8 supercharged Range Rover sport and so never had problems with lag. Woft about and instant power when you need it.

Maserati Levante Trofeo very tempting, SUV with basically a rebadged Portofino V8 engine. Hard to argue with the Audi though, just picked up a RS4 B7 avant as my country hack and it still feels bullet proof even at 15 years old.
The build quality and tech of the Levante (and most modern Maseratis in general) are nowhere near as good as rivals for similar money

I’ve driven my mums discovery sport and I know exactly what you mean about that delay with power when you need to get away probs just a Land Rover thing bar that it’s a great day my dads Range Rover sport did the same thing! Great video man and well said great choice 👍🏼👍🏼 done well

If you tune the RR it gets rid of that lag. I remapped mine and it helped no end. Same with the ex's Evoque was the same

If you get chance to take out an FK2/FK8 type r make sure you do because their quality to drive! I have a stage 2 FK2 and it’s mental to drive.. the grip is insane! FK2 is much more hardcore than the FK8 too!

That punch of power is because the throttle is electronic the voltage calibration has a delay.
Sorry Mr T it would be a RR for me if I had the Turbo S sitting in the garage 👌 this little beast does look good but like you I would use the 4x4 for mostly everything!

Great video awesome car. Two things stopping me from upgrading from sq7 tdi to rsq8 are 1. rsq8 uses way way too much fuel. 2. The rear end design looks as the car has positive camber and not as aggressive looking as a Rs model should.

Urus and rsq8 are like comparing a tahoe and an escalade. Theyre both essentially the same car made by the same company owner but one is upper class one is lower class

"give it a little tickle" made me laugh. the funny thing is my Q8 does the same thing you're complaining about the RR.. it's responsiveness is brutal off the line/in low gears. better in sport but still weird
I don't know if it worked the same over there but I work at a dealer in the US and what people do if they over miles now the way the market is they "buy it out" then trade it in like that they don't have to pay for overage on miles and even get a check back because the values are so high should be the same since Range Rovers are booking out really good.

I don’t think the acceleration lag is a comfort feature, I think it’s turbo lag, most new cars have turbos to make them more fuel efficient and a bit quicker but when you put you’re foot down from a stand still noting happens because the turbo takes it time

I prefer the RSQ8 to the Urus. Defender V8 is my choice 😛 Range Rover SVA tops the RSQ8. Cannot wait for your new Range Rover. You are right about the accelerator lag in the Range Rover SDV8. Mapping out the waft-lag is the best option. Setting various modes is another option. It should come from the factory with more options for drivability including responsiveness.
Very nice video Tom. RSQ8 is a weapon. It's eye catching, practical and savage I love it. Having owned an R R Sport, I found it to be brilliant except for the gear box - way too much lag. Any plans to enter an amature race this year? Cheers 😊👍

I feel like I know what you mean I have a Mercedes E 350 4matic and when I press on the gas I know it's going to move and theres no lag that makes me feel like I have to push the pedal down farther

Looks better than the Cayenne coupe also. My arse of a neighbor (he could buy 30 of my house with the proceeds of his house) who constantly teases me with his CGT, Ferrari superamerica, manual 430, and Ford GT (to name a few) just for his chalk Turbo GT and it is a good looking car but, still prefer this.
