I own a headset myself, and this game is absolutely mental. I got a real plank of wood, around 6cm thick and I chose the most crooked one they had at the DIY. Put it on two rubber tiles so it doesn't scratch the floor, with added wobbliness as a bonus. Then I get the lid of the crate I use to transport my gear in or sometimes even a fan. Wait until the elevator opens, then start flapping or turn on the ventilator. I have had several people exclaiming 'Oh no, I can even feel the wind!', abolutely hilarious. Have them get on on socks, watch them feel the edge of the plank on both sides with their toes, almost desperately gripping it, adding to the feeling of being on a board. Then put a virtual pie at the end of the plank, and ask them to pick up the entire plate when they get there. The trick is that when they do, often pieces fall off in the depth below, providing yet another confirmation that it is indeed a long way down. You cannon imagine the power of this simulation, especially with all these props; it's awesome!

The craziest part about it is when you jump off the plank you literally feel that feeling in your stomach when you jump out of an airplane or like anything like that it's extremely similar. Because your mind tricks you into feeling that way

I watched people do this hundreds of times and thought it would be easy but its really hard to take the step out of the elevator where there is NOTHING to hold onto. You feel like you will fall off and actually die lol its amazing how real it feels.

- Oh I did something like that at one place. It was a shooter game on top of a skyscraper, and I had to walk on this plank high above the city. The thing about it was that they put the plank a few inches below the platform where you play on, so I stuck my foot out super scared I was gonna fall.

I experienced VR for the first time ever yesterday. To start off, my friend said that first off I had to do a "Rite of Passage" and he loaded up this plank game. Holy shit!😆 When that elevator opened and I looked down I was like "WTF!"😂 After a few moments I did manage to override my brain and tell myself I was safely in a living room, so I walked and stepped off, but my legs did wobble when I hit the floor!🤣🤣🤣 Oh my God! After that we loaded up "Super Hot" and that was a BLAST! Felt like I was Neo in the Matrix! But the real experience came when he loaded up the "John Wick" mod for "Half Life Alyx". I was blown away.

- I have fear of heights, tall buildings. I want to try this, maybe it will help me cure the fear. But more gradual exposure would be better I think.

make them try seperately where only a single player is in the room and they can't see what the others did, then see how many would actually jump. Seems after one guy had the courage to jump, so did everyone else

I played this for the first time…actually the very first VR experience I’ve ever had, and I was literally shaking! My knees were wobbling and I would feel like loosing my balance and wave both arms to my sides to get steady again. It was awesome!!! Of course my son told me to jump. Very cool!
