      @cyruahawkins5289@cyruahawkins52892 ай бұрын
    • @@cado_yt2396 Yeah it's sad but also remember that it was 100 years ago, people didn't know that you can get bear addicted to nicotine and alcohol. The nature of an addiction wasn't understood that much. Also we were desperate as fck, after 1000 years of official existence of Poland we were under partitions (under Germany, Austria-Hungary and Russia) from 1795 to 1918 (end of WW1). YEAR AFTER WW1 we were had war with Bolsheviks (yeah we won but at what cost, also it's insane that Poland won with 15x the size Russia) in Polish-Soviet War; 1919-1921 and now WW2 with prospect on not having country and identity. Now because of Germany and USSR pact - Pact Ribbentrop-Molotov between Germany and USSR to start WW2 by attacking Poland and divide it in half. So they did, Germany 01.09.1939 from the West and USSR from the East 17.09.1939. Why do I talk about that? Because it shows that Polish people were so desperate with broken will and taking and training bear was one of few good things that had happened. Imagine that your country is torn to shreds and there's nothing you can do about it. If I were one of them I'd probably get a lot of joy from trained bear who eats cigarettes and drinks with us, I would feel hope, I would know that there are things worth fighting for. Things like that keep us sane and connected with Earth and a small patch of land we call our country. If my response doesn't make sense and I didn't make good enough of an argument I'm sorry, my English is really lacking, especially vocabulary... It's my second language and I'm trying my best but talking about so specific incident in a problematic time that is surrounded in political and life circumstances that most people aren't even aware of. Oh and obviously I think what they did wasn't good but morally wrong, especially hundred years ago without knowledge of addiction nature and that it's possible in animals? Depends who you ask, especially because they didn't give him those thing to see what happens etc, they gave him a few times some bear beer and cigarettes and after few months bear was addicted. Would you wanna go to addicted bear have on yourself items that he's addicted to and NOT giving it to him? You would be mauled! In my opinion they made a mistake that some would call animal abuse which now it certainly would be, a motive is important to me to as much as action themselves. It helps to differentiate between an 1) Idiot or ignorant pet owner (like someone who lives in florida and buys a husky from a backyard breeder who will live for 10 years in a dorm-sized apartament, alone when human works for 12h and goes on a walk for 5 minutes with him to do his duties) 2) Harmful pos who adopts dogs and cats to shoot them or beats them, BUT Poles were not 1 nor 2, they couldn't learn about bears and mechanisms of addictions, that's why imo they didn't do morally bad thing: a) Because they had no idea how addiction work and especially how and if at all animals can be addicted too. b) They didn't know that it can be harmful for him, he was just a bear who walked with them and was carrying some stuff and sometimes sat with a soldiers drinking or smoking and he wanted to do what his family are doing (as in soldiers) they gave it to him and later they didn't have a choice. I wouldn't call it animal abuse but I understand that some people don't care about motive of an owner, they weren't ignorant like some lady who lives in florida and buys a husky in a dorm-sized apartament, works for 12h and goes on a walk for 5 minutes with him. They just couldn't know it, but yeah if someone did that now it's f-d up. But if I were besides a campfire with my friends and bear came and sit down with us, I wouldn't mind if he stole vodka bottle and Marlboro Red xD

  • Watching these games gives a very similar feeling that I get from reading final reports from catastrophic accidents from say aviation. "The flight was going well" I know it's going to end in a disaster, but I'm somehow hoping for the pilots to manage the situation and get the plane down safely. Same with these games, I know it's not a Gotham video unless everything goes tits up. I'm still hoping for them to find the mate in two or not blunder. I KNOW that's not going to happen, but I still find myself hoping for it.
