  • For such a hard game, Soulsborne games have some of the most amazing sceneries and character models in video games. There’s so much more appealing elements to add onto the difficulty

    • Scratching the surface of Soulsborne "Difficulty" provides one a peek into an amazingly drab and uniquely opaque world, one which you can shape with your actions, however minute they may be. Its a really neat thing and is what propelled my enjoyment of the souls series and its others to the moon.

I sat there, horrified, realizing that there would be no more Dark Souls content. no more Dark Souls games, no more lore, story, emotion. • Despite being a hard game, with hopelessness everywhere and a dark world surrounding you, making people think that the only thing that matters is to finished the game as fast as possible, it's when you finish the game, that you just realize how good of a game it was. The exact moment when you realize there won't be anymore content, the real "end". Makes me cry just thinking about it. It's only now that you realize, that you've gone hollow.

The areas, the enemies, the npcs, the “try finger but hole”, it was all perfect. Never even got to finish the ending. He moved away right after I got to the final boss. Years later I got a PS5. Got Elden Ring fell in love with soulsborne games all over again. Played Bloodborne, played Dark Souls 1 and 2, and now finally I’m back to again put the Lords of Cinder on their thrones and decide wether I prolong The Flame’s life or not.

As an example, Gwyn is an archetypal mix of Jesus and Zeus. Character designs are inspired by many great games and artists, such as Magic: The Gathering, Miura, Bosch and Raimi. Souls games are mythologies turned into a video game form, a beautiful patchwork of the works of artists and real-life mythos.

  • I've beaten all the souls games as they came out over the years starting with Dark souls 1 (demon souls came after) to elden ring now. No game has ever made me feel so many emotions let alone make me actually feel depressed that I beat it. If I could erase my memories it would be my memory of the entire souls series, I would kill to play it all over again.
