ABOUT BON APPÉTIT
Bon Appétit is a highly opinionated food brand that wants everyone to love cooking and eating as much as we do. We believe in seasonal produce, properly salted pasta water, and developing recipes that anyone can make at home.
My jaw dropped watching her create those incredibly realistic looking flowers. This woman is an absolute master of her craft.
First class, well done :)
And this is why they cost more! You pay for their expertise, experience and artistry, not just the cake itself 👑
I learned the truth of that when I personally learned how to make them. Big eye opener. These cakes can take weeks of advance preparation and great skill to design, piece together and handle!
Thank for understanding.
Amen!
Yes indeed! It took the lady years to acquire those skills.I love videos and programs like this,it gives people who don't make their living as an artist,a better idea of what a skilled creator has to do to produce a finished piece.
Absolutely! I don’t think people realize the time and efforts that go into making such beautiful intricate wedding cakes. This lady is a true artist.
As a cake decorator myself, this is top of the line artistry. I enjoyed every minute.
I hope you were paid well for this gorgeous cake. Thank you for showing those of us who only see the end product what goes into making these beautiful works of art. ❤
I mean youtube pays them and plus she probably won’t make a cake like this and gift it to a random person
🤗🤔🤗
I am sure she was. It probably costs whoever 's wedding cake it was supposed to be $20, 000 or more.
$20,000????? I'm experiencing sticker shock!!!
@@brendataylor7524no way surely not
It almost feels wrong to watch this for free. Nothing short of amazing.
After many people click on subscribe, they have to reach a certain amount and then you tube rewards them. Worth the time, money, effort spent; value and importance. they get something worth while.
Nataline, I agree with you. My eyes were wide open. I didn't even feel sleepy.
@@esperancafernandes3608 except this isn’t her personal channel. I’m sure she did it for exposure though… Marketing
I know what you mean.
Felt like a master class I'd take at college
That's the most wedding cake wedding cake I've ever seen. Marvelous.
I kept saying “wow” through the entire video. This is truly an art piece. Wonderful!
What I've learned just in my personal dabbling with cake is that if you want to get a crumb coat right, you need to pipe it on and you need to apply it to excess so that you aren't relying on its grip on the cake to spread, but you are instead relying on the ability of the frosting to deflect. If you apply it too thin, then it'll always lift off of the cake and lift some crumbs along with it. What this artist showed was absolute perfection in crumb coat application. Get it on, then bring it down to the thickness you want before going in with the next coat. Another tip if you've got more time than she does, is you can chill your layer after scraping down your crumb coat and this will allow you to lay down your primary coat of buttercream without any risk of crumbs peeking through.
The joy in her voice when she started to paint her sugar gum flowers made my day lmao. Absolutely echo the other comments asking for her to be brought back-~
This is so relaxing. And what an artist this lady. I love her

I wouldn't mind more episodes of her making (wedding)cakes! This is so cool and tasty to watch
Yes!
She has her own youtube
This is a wedding cake education! I learned so much! Thank you for being so generous and sharing your knowledge. Happy Caking!
You are in a league of your own. An amazing lady, an amazing artist. Thank you for showing us what you create.
I’m a professional cake decorator too and I find it so interesting watching every other cake artist’s different techniques! Might need to try a few of these 😂

G Rossi, oh gosh, so beautiful to know that. You actually were a part of all that cake making and decorating. Edit: 😋😋🥂❤🎂
This video deserves more view. This lady is fantastic. The skill she has to make those intricate realistic sugar flowers are simply amazing.
I was floored thru the whole process but when she done all the little piping and brushing all the tiny little details WOW & people will just dig in & eat it without even noticing the beauty of every tiny little detail. You are an artist.
OMG, this is what a call a master class… She gave us a big gift, showing every detail, every secret…… Is the first time seeing her and I’m so happy I found her…. Love everything of cakes and this is unique……. 🌹
This has to be one of the most stunning cakes I've ever seen. Your craftsmanship is incredible!!
Buenas tardes desde 🇻🇪
I seeing much bigger and wonderful. But she is good
@@daisyapontehavenmemoriestr8552 bit of an odd brag but I'm glad you've had the opporunity. Im sure those artists were also extremely talented ❤
@@daisyapontehavenmemoriestr8552 WOW. SOME PEOPLE....
this is honestly the most beautiful wedding cake I have ever seen! You cannot go wrong with classic styles!
Lost for words at your skill~ The look on your daughter's face speaks for us all.. How wonderful for her to learn your skills and love of design!! This must take days.
A true artist. Any couple would be very fortunate to have you make their wedding cake.
I have no intention of buying as cake or trying to do any of this but I was still mesmerized and in complete awe of her skill and craftsmanship and attention to details. Stunning. Her willingness to share these trade details is a real gift to others who want to try their hands at this.
I don't think people realize how much time, effort and thought goes into making huge, detailed wedding cakes like this. I'm a hobby baker, but this is next level. She is an artist!
A masterpiece. I am in total awe. It makes me appreciate the wedding cake I had made in 1970. The cake had won 1st place in a New York Show a few years earlier. It was in the shape of a church and it was absolutely gorgeous. You are an amazing artist.
I would love to see your church cake. Please 🙏 ❤
Unreal! Unlike most wedding things you’re actually getting what you pay for if you buy this! So cool that this level of cake making exists!
Her level of perfection is out of this world! She's a true master!
In awe. I love the movement of the sprays of sugar flowers - makes them even more realistic. As others have said, this is why decorated cakes cost so much. Fabulous
All I can say is WOW. SIMPLY AMAZING. I have no words for your talent. God has touched your beautiful hands. Anyone who has a cake made and decorated by you has been doubley BLESSED. 😲
They look like real flowers. So pretty. And the cake looks elegant as well.
Wow she just freehands the design that's so impressive
The wedding cake you designed and decorated was the most absolutely gorgeous cake I've ever seen. I've seen brushed embroidery before but I love how you added a little touch of color. There are so many wonderful things to say about your wedding cake it would take hours to write. Thank you for sharing 💜
She's so meticulous, and yet so FAST. And I've gotta say... watching all the hidden supports and "glue" that go into keeping the cake in one piece and on the board reminded me a lot of all the hidden support that goes into a wedding dress. Fitting. :D
The level of artistry and commitment to her craft, the attention to such minute and intricate details, and treatment of the piece as a composition rather than just a wedding cake showcase her talent and skills in what we should all consider a master class. This was stunning and breathtaking. Bravo!
This is amazing! It's like a masterclass in cake decorating. I never knew that more sugar makes a cake stronger. I know the structural role sugar has in chocolate chip cookies, but I didn't know it extended to cakes that way. A cursory search shows that there's more to a high-ratio cake than simply adding more sugar, but I'm kind of amused that the answer to "how did you build such a tall cake?" is probably the same as the answer to "why does this cake taste so amazing?" A frosting can definitely be too sweet. But if the cake itself is really sweet, I'm not sure that's as noticeable. So maybe sugar is to cake-making what butter is to other forms of cookery. I've had people ask why my mashed potatoes taste so good. I tell them it's the Yukon gold potatoes. Which isn't false, but the complete answer is that I use a shocking amount of butter. It's not like I'm a particularly talented mashed potato maker. Boil, puree, butter, butter, butter, salt, butter, salt, and then it's "What's your secret?"
I feel like this is the ghost of Julia Child speaking.......
In my mashed potatoes I use Yukon Gold potatoes, a little bit of butter and lots of 18% cream. I also whip in about a teaspoon and a half of baking powder. Then I shrug when people ask me "How do you get your mashed potatoes so fluffy?". Try it!
I added sour cream to my mashed potatoes without my husband knowing & he said that they were the best mashed potatoes he's EVER had. He doesn't like sour cream. Lol Still fix them with the sour cream. 🤣 I'll never tell. This is the one & only secret I will take to my grave! 😁🤫🤭
After she made the rose, I just thought "Wow, that’s incredible tedious and looks like it would be the center peace to the cake!” camara cuts to a table full of them...jaw drops. I applaud her patients!
Congratulations on your skill, artistry and eye for detail. That's a magnificent piece of sculpting its highest form. Bet the wedding party where in awe when they saw what you had created for them. Stunning!
What a display of mastery!
This video gave me so much peace. I could watch it a thousand times
Most bakeries have teams of bakers helping make the flowers…this is incredible.
This is, hands down, THE most incredible cake art I've ever seen! You are definitely in a league of your own 👏
Her skill and expertise are out of this world!!! So delicate, pretty and just amazing!
I could have definitely used that cake scorer tool when I was in culinary academy. For cakes in general, not just wedding cakes.
I am astounded. I mean, really truly amazed!! The immense skill, the patience and diligence, the elegant beauty and craftsmanship! I could go on….
Wow. I've watched a lot of cake decorating videos and I have to say, I think yours was the best for several reasons. You didn't seem to skip over anything, your were very precise in your explanations and there weren't any shortcuts. THIS is why a cake like is so costly. Well done!
Making cake itself is not that easy, plus the artistry in decorating it’ is out of this world. Amazing 🥰🥰🥰
How utterly talented she is. It’s stunning. She’s a true artist, and her medium isn’t a cloth canvas but is just different. But she is true to her art.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING
This is one way to combine the love of fine art and cake decorating. Haven't decorated as much as a cupcake but thoroughly enjoyed watching a Master at her art. Beautifully filmed and presented.😍
Such craftsmanship…
This is the most beautiful cake!!! Truly talented, Ana!
OMG THAT'S THE BEST WEDDING CAKE I'VE EVER SEEN
The best I have been seen since culinary school
I used to many years ago make decorated cakes, before all of the NEW tools, products and inventions. Very beautiful cake. People don't realize the time it takes to do this. Example, making the flowers instead of using real ones. True talent. Thank you🤗🤗👍🏼👏🏼
IMO everything on a cake should be edible. I would never use fresh flower on my cake (that I order not make) but not everyone have thousand of dollar to pay for sugar flower. So I totally see why some people rather just use fresh flower.
Гениальная работа! Она-кондитер от Бога.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Omg PLEASE BRING THIS AMAZING SWEETHEART OF A LADY BACK! She is so amazing and I love everything about her! Amazing! ❤️

What a beautiful woman and a wedding cake - love this I can’t imagine how hard it is and what patience it took to do this !!
wow just wow. I know for a fact that leveling cakes is difficult and I've done it before. She makes it look so easy and yet the result is very precise
That wedding cake probably cost more than my wedding. 😆
Weddings are overrated anyway
Same! Lol 😂
After doing some research this cake costs at least $3 600.00 😭😭😂😂🤣
@@unknownwatcher3734 wow so cheap, I was thinking 5,000. 1,000 per tier but the top is smaller hence lower price. Considering the different flower I was expecting more.
In Los Angeles it would go for 10k
This is the most elaborate wedding cake I have ever seen. Stunning!
Amazing, so tasteful! Now I understand why wedding cakes cost so much. That is a piece of art.
Wow, watching this gave me anxiety, the detail, the intricacy, the patience. I wonder how many hours it took to make this wedding cake, and how much it cost? I'm thinking around 100 hours, and maybe $10-20k? I'm probably way off though. Such a patient and talented woman.
A fête for the eyes and a delight in flavours , the layers of mousseline and buttercream so soft and luscious covered by smooth fondant, the delicate and beautifully painted sugar flowers in the perfect shades of colour, surrounded by the fine lace, brocades and little flowers, a masterpiece , only for connoisseurs!
Her attention to detail is remarkable!!!
That isn't a cake it is pure perfect art 💝💝💝
What artistry. An excellent view into the construction and thought behind an elaborate wedding cake.
Wow, wow, wow. The delivery to the venue must be nerve wracking.
It is.

So... Congratulations to all you encouraging and loving viewers who spread so much kindness and joy through your positive words and praise.
So beautiful.I love the freehand piping, that she creates her own molds for borders.I've never seen the process of making sugar flowers,so much care and detail and patience required! This artist most definitely earns what she charges to create such wonderful cakes;I'm sure it's delicious but it's almost too beautiful to eat! I would want want photos, including close-ups of the details, before cutting it,and would save one of every sugar flower.
You are truly an artist! Your video was so compelling! I was totally enthralled with your piping and flower making skills! I swear I could never cut into that cake! It is a piece of art! You need an artistic background to pull this off. Your creativity is on full display! BRAVO👏🏻❤️👏🏻❤️👏🏻❤️
Those flowers were jaw dropping gorgeous!! 🤯🤯🤯🤩🤩🤩
Id definitely enjoy making them
I'm jealous, her talent is impeccable
If it tastes half as good as it looks, my taste buds will be havin a PARTAYYYY
Ana, the absolute master - we love this and you
I think you've helped many brides (and guests!) understand why cakes are so expensive and what art, talent, and time go into them. This is a masterpiece! How could anyone bear to cut it? Wow. You are a true artist. Thanks for sharing your talent with us!
Patient person to do this. I would go and buy some flowers and stick them in the cake and call it a day. My complete admiration for your art.
"if you don't have lemon extract..." yeah, the lemon extract was my only issue here
Why? I've never been in a supermarket that didn't have lemon extract right next to the vanilla.
This is the best cake decorating tutorial I've watched so far and to think it is for free! Wow! Really amazing step by step breakdown of everything needed and the techniques. I'm definitely trying this.
That is just about the loveliest Wedding Cake I've ever seen! You are exceptionally gifted.
Wow. The level of skill and patience required to do this is incredible.😍😍 Hats off. I don't think I would be able to master that kind of patience even in 10 lifetimes. I wonder how many hours it takes to create this masterpiece!!🤩
You truly are the Cake Whisperer! Beautiful. Thank you for making and sharing this video!
The stress of the stacking
I grew up watching my mother pipe flowers. My great grandmother was her teacher as a child. My mother could pipe the most beautiful flowers
I love that she's teaching her craft to her daughter.
I have loved watching this video. Mind you, my mother used to make cakes that were just as, if not more, detailed, and there were no moulds used at all. There is no doubting the skill of both amazing women.
I want this cake for my birthday!
Unbelievably beautiful. She is a real artist in the pure sense of the word. Almost too beautiful to cut and enjoy. I can't imagine moving something like that and transporting to the wedding venue. You can tell she really enjoys what she is creating.
They are so beautiful. I can't believe how real they look.
Just a piece of art, truly amazing skills and dedication.
This cake looks so too beautiful to eat! But I definitely want to try it because it also looks so delicious 😩😩😩 Great job Ana and her lovely assistant!❤️❤️❤️

This is stunning. Thank you for letting us watch you create this edible masterpiece.
that was so relaxing, just wanted i needed during my break. She is amazing! The amount of time and skill that goes into that is amazing!
