    • She does. In the books, lady Danbury is the only person who actually SEES her, and is the only person who suspects that there is much more to Penelope that meets the eye. And lady Danbury is about the only person who believes that Penn could be lady whistledown after making a wager about who the author could be

  • I will forever be grateful to Shonda for transforming Lady Danbury into this incredible character. When I read the books a million years ago, I pictured something more along the lines of the professor McGonagall from the Harry Potter movies. She was written in such a delightful way you already loved her. I never dreamed that Shonda could elevate an already beloved character to this level by my goodness did she ever. I am just so in love with the dreamscape she's created with her casting. It's simply amazing.
