After the huge success of the first game, fans were eagerly awaiting the sequel. The pressure on Capcom to deliver was such, that the first version of the sequel was scrapped (a version now called Resident Evil 1,5) ! While not having the element of surprise as much as the first game, Resident Evil 2 made up for it by having much better cutscenes, being more action packed and by having a lot more content. Generally considered as the best RE episode on the PS1, its also one the system's best games !
