The Consumerist Culture that dominates our existence defines our lives as wanting, empty, FOMO... Fostering lives of egotism, solipsism, superiority, etc. Edward Bernays used his uncle's (Sigmund Freud) early manuscripts in Freud's explorations of the ego to develop the methods of crowd control and mass marketing. These methods have been refined over the past century and have simply polluted the waters we swim in everyday. One can seemingly not escape this reality as if one could ignore the force of gravity. It is as if Bernays was the zombie that infected humanity and now that is the only existence one can imagine.
