Action Bronson heads to Little Italy for epic cheese tasting at DiPalo’s Fine Food and some bahn mi’s from Saigon Vietnamese Deli Sandwich.

At DiPalo’s, Action is hosted by fourth generation owner, Sal DiPalo as they taste meats and cheese imported directly from producers in Italy. DiPalo’s is also know for their chicken cutlets, and while Action was waiting for them to finish cooking, he heads around the corner for a classic; a curry chicken bahn mi from the Brooke street institution. Enjoy.

  • Di Palo's is the last, true, remaining Little Italy establishment that doesn't exclusively cater to tourists. The day that Di Palo's closes is the day Little Italy truly vanishes. Sal is the best. And he has the greatest jokes in Manhattan. A true relic.

    • @@TheAeasy19 with non-Italian waiters outside trying to hand you menus and convince you their food is the best. Same thing happens in the touristy parts of Rome and other major cities. The restaurants in Manhattan's Little Italy aren't really dined at by locals anymore.

    • @DJFaNaTiiC their pre marinated meats are amazing and they serve a great kebab as well. Plus a whole bunch of food imports from Armenia. Definitely stop by if you can, you won't leave with a empty stomach or a empty bag.

  • This is the kind of food that speaks to my soul. We aren't Italian but my mom spent some time in the US and had the pleasure of learning some recipes from her dear friend's Nonna there, so we're lucky she makes amazing food like this. It really brings me back - meatballs, eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, pastas, etc. One day I'd like to bring her here when we go back to the USA, and of course to Italy so she can have the foodtrip of a lifetime.

  • My Grandma used to take me to De Paolo Deli every year during the Italian Feast in Little Italy. Her and my mom came here from Naples. When my Grandma got too old to go with me, ide go down in my early 20's and spend 500$ easy on Prosciutto Ends, Cheese. Meat for her. A suitcase full. Now I'm taking my 2 kids. Action Bronson is a living legend. My Uncle Domonic also did business with De Paolo's over the years, after he passed away they gave their condolences. What a legendary part of NY. Now with alot of my older Italian family passing away this place takes me back to the food I grew up on and now my kids grow up on.
