  • Without doubt, Federer is the most talented, gifted, beautiful, vesatile player ever to play tennis. Variety of shots he has, is far more than combined of Nadal or Novak. His volley , stop volley, backend, forehand and dropshots are very pleasing to watch. To play for 20 over yrs with very high consistency is simply amazing. And above all, he is very humble, down to earth always easy going with his fans and media. We hardly read or hear ppl say bad things abt him. It is astonoshing to know that he has never retired half way in 1250 matches he has played. This shows how much he loves Tennis.. No other player has this effect on public past 70 yrs plus. No wonder he gets so much love, respect and attention from Reporters, players and public.. Even if Novak wins 25 Slams, he can never match talent, skill, charishma, elegance and popularity of Federer...

    • @@modelp9068 No sweet pea. The stats do not make him to be the best, only a titles collector. He is a talented but childish man boy who doesn't respect himself. Which is why he is not loved by the world like Roger and Rafael are. Their natural talents combined with real achievements make them both standout. Poor Nelly just does not possess the elements of true greatness. He has to make the most of Roger's and Rafael's absences. He could win 5 more slams, and he'll never be in the same class. 😃

  • Roger is a five-time champion at Indian Wells, having reached an additional four finals as well. It's one of the places where he has displayed his best tennis throughout his career, although having suffered a couple of tough losses in finals. 2021 has been tough for Roger and we'll miss him at this year's tournament which is already underway. In this video I've put together what I consider to be his 30 best points... a little bit of the magic that tennis is missing right now!

    • 2019 was the toughest year, Wimbledon broke my heart, from then on, it's been an uphill struggle, I try and convince myself, that Roger will make one last push, to win a Slam, or two, but only God knows, he needs a miracle, to come back strong in 2022- and take lead of the GS!

      @pauljohnson6019@pauljohnson60192 жыл бұрын
    • @@pauljohnson6019 the whole GS race is silly, Roger won the most when you had the toughest competitors in their prime. Who can compare these days to Wawrinka, del Potro, prime Nadal and Djokovic and more from the time 2005-2015? To base any notion on numbers of slams without context misses against whom the slams were won.

You could just sit and watch a video of all the different types regular shots Roger hits during a match - serves, forehands, backhands, overheads, FH volleys, BH volleys, smashes, BH overhead smashes, etc. All the different spins, angles, his positioning inside the court, on the baseline, the insane footwork to get around to hit some of the crazy angles he comes up with...and it would never be boring. He's like a live instructional video...only 90% of the stuff he does...you can't teach. It's all talent and instinct.

  • The weird thing is not that he can come up with extraordinary shots, any of these shots you see, loads of people have done these same shots. But it's the intangible way that's he's packaged together as one whole character, that from within he's coming up with brilliant shotmaking naturally. He's one of those rare players where you see that he can pull off never before played shots and there's absolutely no luck involved because it's not fake or practiced, the insatiable talent. Completely from within.

  • There are few aspects no one literally talks about… which actually make him the GOAT… The man at the age of 37 literally converted his weakness (backhand) Into his strongest weapon….And he literally destroyed his most difficult opponent six times in a row. Now this is the definition of reinventing the game and at age 37?? He introduced new shots(SABR…OFF SLICE FOREHAND….SLICE CHIP return to neutralise heavy servers)…He introduced people how to prolong careers…He introduced the definition of a GENTLEMAN in sports. If you analyse his matches you will see that he always finishes his points in a very aggressive way by either with a winner or a volley Or a smash.In terms of accuracy his serve has been highly underrated. Even with the matches he lost in his prime(except few on clay) he was the better shotmaker…He is never really dominated rather dominates. He transcends the sport like MJ and Messi….I pity the people who think that roger at his prime best can be beaten by any1. People have short memory. Now they see todays defensive rallies and think this is the best way to play tennis. And lastly his defeat at Wimbledon finals to NADAL was the most gracious moment of his career…He overcame his ambition and acknowledged a rival with such a grace and made a lifelong Friends. A true GOAT.

  • Roger is the most evolved player in the tennis history. He has dominated at least four generations and the way he has carried himself both on and off the court is monumental. Yes Roger did not win any slam between the age of 32 and 37 cuz of nadal and nole but who is there to stop nadal and nole now? Answer: no one, so this era is the weakest of all. If Fed era was weak then why did not he win all the slams back to back, especially clay? He is the one and only goat PERIOD and if you don’t believe it then organize three different exhibition matches for Nadal, Nole and Roger in the same city and witness who attracts the crowd the most. Nole must understand respect is not demanded but it is earned like Roger has. Frequent screaming, fake injuries, multiple retirements, abusing the audience and racket breaking does not get you respect and crowd support.

Nadals high looping top spin shots at shoulder height made it really difficult for fed who could just give a defensive short reply or have to go round his forehand. Lubicic helped but but then age and injury caught up with him. I think the clay battles would've been much more interesting though he played some close clay matches which he lost while leading

  • What makes Roger Federer one of the GOAT is his skill, his shots, his strategy, his dynamic returns. Yes, others have more wins against him; but, not in against his skill. Federer is one of the best. Ask John McEnroe who was and is one of the best in World Tennis.

  • God. Not wanting to be negative but what a shame those 4 finals. Particularly 2018 and 2019. He had two match points in the first, and in the second he was up a set and shocked in 5-5 at final set. I was literally shocked for those two a few days

    • I don't know...there's one he hit at the FO against Nalbandian that's downright sick...and one he hit against Suzuki at the AO where he had to run all the way across the court to the ball and hit a short angle around the net. That one is for all the Novak fans who claim Roger at his peak wasn't as fast as Novak. Snort. Roger got to balls...and didn't have to slide to get there...

  • Biggest tragedy was Wimbledon 2019- he could have not won anything else, but he would have been happy, being on 21 slams, now we don't know, where his level's at, and whether he'll ever be able to get it back, we can only pray, and leave the rest to God!
