I feel sorry for the repairman, some may laugh or think something weird but in the end, you don't know what's happening in his life, you don't know whether he does 2 or 3 jobs in a day leaving him with only 4 hours of sleep at best.

@@thelostmessenger that was me. I went to college, straight a student and couldn’t stay awake suddenly. My classmates and teachers would poke me or slap the table or whisper in my ear to help me stay awake. Finally got diagnosed with just very minor sleep apnea but it had a huge effect on me.

Everytime I hear something like, "These are professionals, do not attempt." My mind always immediately races to, "How do any of these people get declared professionals??? Like, how do you prepare and/or practice for a situation like that?"
I would guess it starts with basic parachute/wing suit lessons, maybe in tandem with a teacher, maybe over water. Or in a wind channel (if that's the correct word for it. Huge fans that blow against gravity)
Because its not their first time doing this, you know people parachute for a living right?
They're professionals until they screw up and get themselves killed. There have been tons of "professionals" who have died during their hobbies.
You need 200+ jumps before you can legally use a wingsuit. Anyone you see in a wingsuit is a pro at skydiving.
The difference between professional and amateur is whether you recommend to someone who knows nothing to try it.

yeah, it's mounted badly. the sensor is too low for this type of mount. such faucet should be placed directly by the basin (not sink as a whole but knowing parts of the sink required a search).

I feel for the guy cause I've done that exact same thing. Was installing a new faucet and ran the water to check for leaks and with the peaceful sound of the water running I closed my eyes for a second and boom fell asleep. Wife was wondering why the water was running for so long, maybe around 5 minutes then came and found me and of course kicked me to wake me up.
My whole immediate family has the ability to sleep anywhere, even hardwood floors

That bearded dragon clip was adorable, mine used to do the exact same thing when I took pretend naps next to her. I called the little wiggles she did to get comfy her "snuggle shuffle" Edit: I know she was just trying to get warmth, but it also takes some level of trust (in the sense of "I know this creature won't kill me if I approach it") for an animal to do something like that. It told me that I was doing something right.

I just learned this recently but the way water faucet motion sensors work is they shoot infrared light out and scan for it reflecting back off of the skin, but black absorbs most light so darker skin colors don’t reflect the light as much making it more difficult to activate the sensor. However, because the paper towel is white it easily reflects the light and activates the sensor.

There's also a medical condition that people can have which causes them to fall asleep really quickly (I can't remember the name) but my manager used to have it. And when we'd sit in the office for lunch, I'd often hear snores next to me and he'd be fast on in about 20 seconds.
If he's tired enough to fall asleep in that position, he probably works too hard.

@@BDubz-mf6bb bearded dragons can be friendly with their owner. Cats and dogs also like to sleep on our laps because they find it confortable but that doesn't mean they don't love us. They wouldn't come to us if they didn't, so what that bearded dragon did can be seen as a form of affection even if he liked the warm temperature of the owner.
@@BDubz-mf6bb My bearded dragon does this whether it's 90 degrees or 50, it doesn't matter. Yes, they are attracted to your body heat regardless, but it doesn't mean it's not cuddling. When bearded dragons do their little wiggles, then that's them getting comfortable. Like when a bird poofs up and shakes out their feathers.

Some people are just comfortable in certain places as well. For me it was when i was in my late teens, i found that if i lay on carboard on concrete under my truck to work on it...i fall asleep without even trying. It's just comfortable for some reason.

Never would have considered a lizard "cuddly".
It wasn't cuddling, it was deprived of a heat source due to being outside of its enclosure for too long and noticed that they were warm, so to get heat they get closer, quite simple. That person doesn't care for their bearded dragon well, by the way, the enclosure size is too small (seems to be a 36x18x18" when they need a 48x24x24") and seems to have no UVB which is a requirement for bearded dragons to not develop metabolic bone disease.

@@striderwhiston9897 When i adopted mine she was in a 3ft viv with no basking bulb, just a ceramic heat and uv bulb, which was not the right one either. I did my research beforehand, so knew what they needed. Built a 4x2x2ft viv, proper 36 inch 12% uvb which i change every 6-8 months, and of course a basking lamp, along with some weekly vitamins. Ditched the sand substrate in favour for artificial grass and tiles. Been 2 and a half years and she is thriving, no idea of her age tho, which is a shame you cant tell.

(Remember, in 1993, being able to have multiple small, unobtrusive, solar-powered, good-quality video cameras in the middle of the Kalahari Desert would've been cost-prohibitive, if not impossible.) Meerkats are predators (e.g. lizards, scorpions), and in turn, are hunted by other animals (e.g. large birds of prey), so they have developed a watch system, where members of the group take turns being "lookout" for approaching predators. Obviously, being at the highest point is most advantageous for the lookout, but, since they don't climb trees, usually the small dirt mounds are really the only lookout point that meerkats have. As you can imagine, a human sitting on the ground, or even lying down on their stomach with their head up, is just about the greatest lookout tower that these little guys have ever imagined! Being naturally curious and friendly creatures, it is extremely easy to habituate a meerkat group to human presence. So, although these meerkats are still completely wild and are not confined in any way, they have been habituated to humans since the early 90s, and just consider humans to be living, cuddly parts of the landscape. (The Kalahari Meerkat Project very strictly does not actively interact or interfere with the natural happenings of the group, so no petting, although the meerkats - especially the young'uns - will definitely curl up on an observer's lap or back for a snuggle.) The project's meerkats even got their own TV show for a while! It was called "Meerkat Manor", and it was a total soap opera! I loved it and watched it religiously. (Apparently, it had a revival in 2021 that I didn't know about!) You should be able to find it on streaming services, and episodes or at least long clips should be on KZhead. Check out any "behind the scenes" offerings to see more of meerkats using the researchers as architecture and furniture. Enjoy the meerkat-watching! In the USAF we have regular active shooter drills where you turn off the lights, lock the door, and hide under your desk. During one of these drills I feel asleep and they never called ENDEX so I stayed asleep for over an hour and a half.

Actually, a cat that licks another cat might try to establish dominance over him/her by leaving its scent on the other one (e.g. show who is the boss of the house, higher in the hierarchy). It can often lead to sudden fights and loud screams xd But yeah, cats also do that to other close cats to sometimes just help their buddies out (by grooming the not-so-easy to reach spots). In anyway its quite adorable (at least until they start smacking each other on the head xd)
