6:10 Peacemaker has really nice "normal" looking curtains, that look like an add-on to those BG ones. The set is called Drapery Delights and they're my all time favorite curtains, they fit literally all windows 😅🥰

Hey Sasha, If you take suggestions for a challenge, an idea I've got set up (for when I get all the appropriate expansion packs) is a young couple who are both unable to have children. They pool their money and buy a run down mansion, and the idea is they build up a home where they can foster/adopt kids, so while it starts outs fairly empty, by the time they die, I want them to have a house with a master bedroom for them (and possibly a kid they adopt who decides to continue the mission of "Fresh Start Lodge"), and everything set up to make a dream home for the kids who otherwise wouldn't have a good start in life. I'm probably going to redo my "Fresh Start Lodge" build, it's too bland at the moment as I tried to make it cost less than 22k despite being on a big lot (so there will be room to build a children's playground, a pool with a slip'n'slide etc), but I'm quite happy with the couple I designed (the Millers, Jack and Casey). I don't know if the concept fits Growing Together as that is more about extended families, but I think it might be a different enough take on the Rags To Riches type of challenge that it could be entertaining. The rough guidelines are: -1-2 Young Adult sims, unable to either get pregnant or get others pregnant -They buy a house on a 40x30 lot -They will try to adopt at least 1 sim within the first 7 days -By the time they become adults, they must have adopted enough sims so the house is full (so 6 baby-teen Sims assuming no mods) -For more of a challenge, to make it more like a foster home, when a Teen ages up to Young Adult they have to move out. To make it harder, you can set an amount of simoleons they have to be given at this time 20k/25k/30k etc -When a sim moves out, they must adopt a new sim for the empty room I haven't playtested this yet, I'm only on the base game currently and I want Parenthood, the stuff packs for younger sims, seasons, and maybe a few others to really make it fly, but I thought I'd put the idea out there with Growing Together coming out

@@teedoubleu9602 Thank you! I just wish I could come up with a compelling base game only change to amuse myself with! I've made a few families now where I think to myself "You know, it'll be better if they have this expansion". I have two Mexican cousins, one YA, one child where the child lost his parents in a car crash, but the YA sim really just wants to live an outdoors lifestyle, and that is waiting for Seasons, Outdoor Adventures and maybe Cottage living... I just like the drama that Alejandro has to compromise between his dreams and needing to help his cousin get a good start in life (so it has a loose tie to the Fresh Start Lodge family too). I did a family, the Bruckners where they have downsized to live in Willow Creek as the father lost his job and now they have to take care of the his father too as they couldn't afford the carehome (the grandfather has erratic and maybe another negative trait, and I'm planning on having him left to autonomy so the family have to cope with him, and now I see the family dynamics bit of Growing Together and it to me would be a really strong fit... *Sigh* - I guess EA will be getting some money out of me won't they... Maybe I should see if EA will give expansion packs in exchange for scenarios... They probably wouldn't even give a kit...

I love your vids and I have a challenge idea but if it doesn’t make sense then you don’t have to do it So the point is you get and already built house and it has to be like this one where it kinda lays it out and then you would switch the rooms up so if the living room is next to or across/ behind a study or the kitchen then you switch the rooms so the living -> kitchen and the other way around If you want to make it more challenging then you don’t use cc or you do but you choose it randomly

The SIms 3 was wild in that regard - you could match any textures, so a sim I had that was born a plantsim had a bedroom where her wallpaper, carpet and bedding all had distinct floral patterns, I didn't have to go hunting through for an item that haad a convenient swatch... *sigh* I guess it was too big a resource hog, but I wish the Sims 4 had gone for multipart swatches too, even if swatches were restricted to certain types of material...

Having one shared bathroom is pretty normal here in Germany. A family house usually has a half bath downstairs (the guest bath room) and a full bath upstairs (the family bathroom)
Similar to the UK, and I suspect much of Eastern Europe too because of how austere the housebuilding was under Communist regimes. Out of curiousity, are you in what would have been called East or West Germany before unification?

@@Larissa-1203 Kind of curious what the reasoning would be in different parts of the world. My feeling for the UK (and likely a few other northern European countries) is that we didn't get indoor plumbing until a long time after our cities were being laid out, so there wasn't really a bathroom included in the houses, and then houses were being built and rebuilt in the same footprints as previous streets etc. In the US, population density is much, much lower so I suspect it was easier for them to start adding bathrooms as plumbing etc became more advanced, but this is largely guesswork
