I took a game prototyping class at my university (the professor is an indie developer) and one of the things we learned is that it's okay to take inspiration, in fact it's often encouraged. You can't always create a brand new concept. If everyone always tried to create a brand new idea, good games would never get made. Edit: I'm not saying Palworld didn't copy designs. That much is blatantly obvious. I should've clarified I meant inspiration for certain aspects and broad concepts I'm a Pokemon fan to my core but that doesn't mean I won't enjoy a bit of Palworld

Most art of any form, especially modern art after years of it being a thing, is derivative. The fact people think that something needs to be completely unique to be good is just baffling.
In every art form you take your inspiration and make your own stuff with that No idea why they cry about this game which looks bit like pokemon which looks like the games before
They blatantly, copied Aspects and characters from different franchises you cannot say it’s inspiration
nice way to cope with "Cinderace but grass type" or "Luxray but rounder ears" I like Palworld but you don't have to defend it when it blatantly copies designs
I love how the first shiny Purplecliffe missed was the same ahh color as THE FIRST SHINY HE MISSED IN PALDEA.

What i love most about this video is how at the start he is calling all the pals pokemon names ans towards the ends he starts calling them their actual names more and more Thats peaks character progression

Palworld is a really fun game with a surprisingly large amount of attention to details and considering the game still isnt fully done is shows the developers actually tried to make it as fun as possible if only people didn't have the built-in bias against it Als said you didn't include the others reaction to lovanders dex entry
I remember a message from the devs along the lines of "So, good news: we fixed this annoying bug. Bad news though: it also fixed that one glitch you guys liked. We're sorry." I think it was about catching pals from the tower boss fights. Anyhow, it shows they're in touch with their community and I love to see that.

Just incase anyone dosent know this but at 57:20 he goes over the egg farm and makes a very common mistake. The workspeed traits has no impact on pals when used in the Ranch. All thats effecting how fast u get drops and what drops u get are the Pals Partner lvl. The work speed stats does nothing in the Ranch.

Honestly, this game is fun. If the pals actually looked way cooler (only some do, a lot look jank) this game would be good. The mechanics and most aspects of the game also hit home for a non triple-A game.
It does look fun but they need to hire an actual creature designer. They clearly just took other peoples designs and changed them slightly. You dont even have to look at them side by side to see it, because even just in the game the art style is super inconsistent. It makes it look like a roblox game
love this game, its a worthy addition to pokemon like games for sure!, cool thing about shiny pals is they arint just a color swap they come with powerful abilities, though its a matter of preference rather you like color swaps or bigger. i like option to get a bigger version of pals more personaly, but i can see others liking color swaps, thankfuly with mods both are an option, also id like the devs to impliment an other rerity type, that shrinks down the pal and buffs its movment and attack speed not sure what to call it.
