Ah yes, the everyday necessities for any Chess player: - Lipstick - Banana - Glasses - Pen
I wonder if she borrowed the lipstick from Anna Rudolf?
Not the super computer lip balm!
That lipstick has a wifi connection to Anna's mom - it is a shame that the connection is a bit flaky sometimes :)
Yes, but that’s for an “early morning” 10:00 am match.
Well, I'm male. So I play without lip balm 😅. But banana, glasses and pen I absolutely agree. I have at least 2 pens and also some chocolate 😊 and something to drink.
Anna, your mom, Pia, does such a great job commentating on your chess matches. Please pass along a multitude of gratitude to her for "Making Chess Come Alive!"
Anna coined a new word "bombastle" at 5:47 meaning "bombard with rook and pieces". "He started bombastling me". I like it. Very evocative.
If you do it sneakily it will be a bamboozling bombastle.
@@vargsvansify If you do it arrogantly, it is bombastling with bombast.
A short time earlier she pronounced (twice!) the word "half" by enunciating the "l".
Is “bombastle” a word? It is now!
You should continue brining a banana to the table so opponents will know you by the fearsome nickname Banana Anna.
or even better... BanAnna ;)
People used to call me Ana Banana, then it became BanAna, then I got into Star Wars and it turned to Bananakin 😁
Anna is just so good at chess. Glad she showed no fear in this game.
What I love about chess is how the game can turn around - one mistake, and you're defending instead of attacking. Good game Anna!
Great comeback Anna! I'm SO glad that you beat him as he did appear quite aggressive by his play and also the way he stood up at times and almost lurked (hope that his standing nearby didn't distract you) as you where thinking your moves. I loved when your g5 move trapped his bishop.
the most enthusiastic chess player in the world! i remember when Anna used to bounce in her chair in her videos!
Yes, the bouncing, was also thinking about that lately. I think she had about only several K followers back then?
Does she not bounce anymore :(
You play better and better and in the last game, also faster. Good luck Anna.😊
Thanks for the analysis, I always learn from it. Lovely close up!
My days are incomplete until I watch your chess games. Thank you for the fun you exhibit during your competitions and providing chess strategies that you make fun to learn.
Love it! Well done and great spirit and confidence for this round. Keep it up!!
Great Game Anna !! Good luck for the tournament!!
Well done. Thanks for the walkthrough of the game!
in 8:29 Anna says "none of us have the level of an engine" well, you and your opponent may not, but Pia sure does!
Anna is a great ambassador for chess. Her enthusiasm and joy are contagious. You don't have to be a stereotypical socially awkward boy to enjoy and excel. I hope she inspires others like her and some become GMs.
Congrats, Anna! Love these recaps!
Fantastic to see how you evolve and adapt, love your growth GG Anna
Great recovery. Fun game to watch with you adapting well to the evolving positions.
BOMBASTLE!!!!! GG's! I'm already looking forward to your next game. Good luck!
Well done. Congratulations on the win. Your defence was solid. I was worried about f3, but you had a tempo and good harmony.
Best of luck, love your analysis after each game👍
it’s so cute when she comes closer to the camera to say bye 😫
Congratulations, Anna! Really happy for you! Good luck in the next game.
Great effort Anna. Keep up all the great content. You really are made for this type of life 😊
So happy for you ❤ congrats on your win
Great job, Anna. Very happy to see you playing well. 🎉
Great finish Anna! Good luck in your next game!
Very good game Anna, you find so many accurate moves, and you slayed some time demons!
I'm very happy that you trusted your intuition and made it! congratulations!
GG Anna! Wish you the best for round 5!
Good luck for Round 5! You are awesomely contagious with your enthusiasm for chess!!
enhorabuena y mucha suerte Anna! 💪
"I'm really excited about it." We are too.
"None of us are Stockfishes..." So true.
I enjoy your videos very much, your families enthusiasm for the game made me want to start playing again after many years. I bought a new board and started teaching my 8 year old son how to play. Good luck, sending support from Canada.
Congratulations, Anna! Well played!
I literally have tears in my eyes and on my cheeks because of your win and your joy.
WOOO congrats on the win! 🎉
Another win, cool! This is so much fun to watch! Wow do you play at another level, it's almost like I am playing a different game completely. Chess is really cool that way. When I play and get in time trouble I play to simplify and try to draw. Also getting an opponent in time trouble sometime generates a win, so if I have time and can make them think more to move, I try that. I play 10 minutes games with no time extensions... I am still finding the cow a useful opening as well, thanks again!!!
Thank you for a good description and well done for the win
Play games so good that you will make the pieces feel like be dancing valses in your hands!
You have it all Anna. Two thumbs up 👍 👍 and good luck in the tournament.
Pia's reactions are priceless! 😃
Felicitaciones Anna!!
congratulations !!! great game!!
Good coping with many setbacks! glad you were playing faster! Good luck!
Fantastic, nice match Anna. That's it, follow your instincts. Congrats and good luck in the next match. Chess Princess
Merci beaucoup pour ce partage. Bravo pour cette victoire.
You counter-bombastled him! GG! Go Anna!
12:25 ❤ Pia commentary hours long chess game with the enthusiasm of someone commentating a fast short race 😂
"Bombastle" sounds like a portmanteau of "bombastic" and "hassle" and I love it.
Congrats on the win
bombarding, although "bombasting" is an interesting use of "bombast" as a verb
Congrats Anna! Good luck! Talking about pep talk, it's good to use a second person talking to yourself, it lowers the anxiety level (says the psychology).
I loving the 4k content looks so so good
I am beginning to watch these videos as if they were basketball's. Very entertaining and instructive for an amateur. Amazing work.
Well done Anna! GG!!
Ggs, good luck 🍀 🙏🏼
Congratulations on trying something new especially against a strong player. Well done and enjoying both watching the games as well as the commentary from your mom.

It’s great she calls 10am early. I definitely resemble that.

"Chess is really fun. Especially when you win!" Well said and well played! Keep having fun!!
In bocca al lupo Anna

I've seen your bullet games, and your instincts are wonderful. Trust them!
Have a fun day Anna. Winning and learning are both valuable. Hope you achieve both.
Great game!! 👏👏
GG! Love it!
You have had some great games with good opponents in this tournament. I enjoy your Mom's commentary and how excited she is when you find the best moves. Also her "oh no she went ... that was not a good move". She is so proud of your playing and says you use a lot of time the same as her. Good games yesterday and good luck today. 💄🍌👓🖋🖊
Great game Anna .
Congrats Anna
nice win!
I'm not a chess expert, although I have played quite well some years ago. I like to follow your games on this site because I appreciate the way you describe your thought patterns and the way you make decisions during your games. Fot me, this level of authenticity is one of your trademarks. I have noticed something that I want to convey to you from a psychological perspective. One of the words you use most frequently when describing your games is "scared" (or scary, or other words of the same meaning). You often use this vocabulary when you are in a tricky situation (which is normal, I guess) and, especially, when you take a long time before reaching a decision. And, also, it seems to me, when you take a decision that you regret afterward. I wonder how this "fear factor" influences your game. I have come to think that if you were able to better manage this "fear factor" in your chess playing, you would be able (1) to improve your game overall, (2) to make better decisions in difficult situations, especially in the middle game, and (3) to better manage your energy level thoughout your games. In particular, it seems to me, the more you describe yourself as "scared", and the more you take a defensive attitude. That makes me think that you are a far better player that what you think you are, if you only could set aside this "fear factor" and play more intuitively, or more creatively. Your knowledge of chess theory is really impressive and you have good people around you. Take that as the foundation on which you can use your obvious intelligence and creativity. Again, I'm not a chess expert. But I really think that your goal of "2200 in 2024" (or even better in 2025, who knows) is something that will be so much easier to reach if you can manage this side of your mindset. Anyway, I really do love to follow your chess progress and I won't stop doing it, even when you're scared for more than half the games you play. And, yes, I really do enjoy those games when you give chess lessons to unsuspecting players (who, by the way, rarely deal with this "fear factor"). Hope this can be useful, Pierre
Good game Anna!!
Well played!
gg! good look for next round
Gefeliciteerd met je overwinning🏆

Oh to have Pia's mind! Love her commentary so much. Thank you for another wonderful video, Anna.
