  • Worth bearing in mind that They Ain't 100 was only in March 2016 -- and if you believe the stories, that was the first rap he ever wrote, and definitely the first thing he ever released (you wont find any clips of a young Fredo freestyling on the streets with his mates or anything like that, although you will see him standing in the background in old Boss Belly and Ratlin vids, hah). Supposedly, so the story goes, he heard some rivals on the roads releasing diss tracks and stuff, and thought, "Hey, I can do better than that," and dropped They Ain't 100. Three weeks after They Ain't 100 was released, Fredo went to prison and the song blew up while he was inside (hence the "I was in jail, hearing myself on the radio, didn't know if I would make it home" bar on his Dailly Duppy). He beat that case and then shortly after you got tunes like Like That, Change, Rappin and Trappin, etc. which were all successful. A lot of people hate on Fredo, but you gotta give him his due, he's more or less come from nowhere and has been killing the game since the moment he stepped on the scene. I think you'll enjoy reacting to any of his tunes, but for me personally, some of his best stuff is from the mixtapes/albums and do not have music videos to go with them, so don't be put off if somebody recommends a track with no video as these are often deeper/darker/realer than the more commercial singles and stuff.
